SMITH, Sarah Ann, born Dauphin Co. near Harrisburg PA 5 Mar 1829, died at home in Redhaw 27 Feb, 87y11m24d, w/o Peter who died 11 May 1897, married 22 Nov 1849, 11 children, 7 sons and 4 daughters, 7 survive, 30 grandchildren, 8 great-grandchildren, buried Redhaw Cemetery, (see previous article).

GARVER, David Wesley, died Monday at home in Orange Twp. about 4 miles N of Nankin, buried Nankin Cemetery, born 28 June 1838 Mt. Pleasant PA, to OH with parents in 1847 near Sullivan OH, married 28 Oct 1858 Sarah Jane Glessner d/o Phillip of S of Polk, children: James O. of Polk, Mrs. J.E. Bringolf and Mrs. William M. Smith of Sterling OH, C.W. of Ashland, Sam P. and Mrs. Maud C. Haun both deceased.

STRICKLAND, Titus, died at home 6 miles S of Ashland on Perrysville Rd. Sunday, 76y2m, son Frank L. of Oak Park IL, daughter Rosa of home, granddaughter Mrs. Iva Miller, born on farm where died, buried Strickland Cemetery, wife survives.

ARNOLD, Amanda M., w/o S.L. of 311 Claremont Ave., died Sunday, 68y11m12d, d/o David and Wealthy Bryte, one of 5, only surviving Mrs. Alice Sager of Lafayette near Lima OH, born 6 Apr 1848 Montgomery Twp. in same house now occupied by Albert Blocker near Bryte School house which was named for her father, married in Ashland to Samuel L. Arnold 4 Apr 1871, 4 children, 3 survive: J.E., Mrs. H.B. Vanosdall and Mrs. R.C. Ash all of Ashland, son Ross died in infancy, grandchildren Cathleen Vanosdall and Lois Arnold, buried Ashland Cemetery.

ENGLE, Anthony, of 1 miles SW of Rowsburg, died Thursday at home of Mrs. Mary Foss of Rowsburg (paper torn).

BALLY, Anna, of Paradise Hill, died Wednesday, 78y, born Milton Twp., last of 8 children to die, buried Imhoff Cemetery.

STUDEBAKER, J.M., died Friday in South Bend IN, born Ashland Co.

SUMMERS, Jacob, died at home at 106 W. Walnut St. Sunday, 89y, buried Nankin Cemetery by wife, all life in Ashland except 2 years in IA, to N of Nankin in 1899, youngest s/o Daniel who had 4 sons and 7 daughters, born in log cabin 1 Aug 1828, father died 1863, mother died when she was 93y, married 18 Oct 1860 Elizabeth Alberson who died 1879 a sister of Judge Alberson deceased, she was born in Harrison Co., children: Mrs. L.M. Helbert, Fannie and Mary all of Ashland.

RYDER, Daisy, w/o Jacob R. of 23 Evergreen St., died Sunday at Samaritan Hospital, children:  Reginald 13y, Mary 5y, Robert 4w, d/o Amos Rinehart of Mansfield, born Morrow Co. 24 July 1883, to Ashland from Mansfield 3 years ago, buried Mansfield Cemetery.

KENDIG, Clara, died at home in Carol MI, 66y, brothers-in-law William H. Kendig of N of Ashland, Clinton and Willis of Ashland, several children survive.

ECHELBARGER, Susannah Conn, born Mifflin Twp. 13 May 1831, died 17 Mar at home in Hayesville w/o Jacob married 1851,8 children, 5 survive:  Mrs. Louisa Miller, Mrs. Anna Daubenspeck, Mrs. Mary Latimer, Samuel of Hayesville, and Mrs. Clara Budd of Ashland, 20 grandchildren, 20 great- grandchildren, 3 great-grandchildren.

HETZEL, Peter, 46y, formerly of Ashland, died at home in Medina Monday, Spanish/American War vet.

KISSEL, Anna Elizabeth, 79y, w/o John, sons Samuel of Lakeville and 3 others, died at home in Mansfield Monday, daughter Mrs. William Kahill of Mansfield.

KNAPP, George S., 72y, died at home W of Mansfield Wednesday, CW Co B 98th and Co G 74th OVI, wife, 3 sons and 3 daughters survive.

BUCHANAN, Robert P., of near Rowsburg, buried Rowsburg Cemetery Sunday.

BALLY, Fannie, died at home 14 Mar, 78y4m3d, born in house where died 11 Nov 1838, d/o Jacob and Sophia Bally, brothers Peter, John, Samuel and Benjamin, sisters Mrs. Barbara Wolf, Mrs. Catherine Stoner and Mrs. Elizabeth Neely died previously, (see previous article).

WINTERS, Curtis, died Friday at home S of Shenandoah, 3 sons and 3 daughters and wife survives, buried Olivesburg Cemetery.

KOHLER, William, of S of Shenandoah, buried Shenandoah Cemetery Sunday, died Mansfield.

MOORE, Infant, 9d, d/o Ortes, died Friday, (Shenandoah News).
