THOMAS, Leander, died Monday at home 3 miles E of Ashland on Wooster Rd., wife and children survive, also brothers and sister survive, buried Dickey Cemetery.

JACK, William, cousin of Hayes Sloan of Ashland Co., died in Dec in Peoria IL, wife a cousin of President Taft.

ANDERSON, John H., died Friday at home 611 Evergreen Ave., from Mt. Vernon to Ashland 2 years ago in April, born Mt. Vernon 13 Dec 1846, 70y16d, children: N.O. of Tippecanoe City OH and Belle of home, siblings: Thomas M., Robert, Mrs. G.W. Bell and Addie all of Mt. Vernon, buried Mt. Vernon Cemetery.

HERSCHLER, John, died Wednesday at home 920 Center St., buried Ashland Cemetery, (ELSEWHERE) born 16 Jan 1834 in Germany, died 27 Dec at home in Ashland, 82y11m9d, to US with parents when l 1/2y old, settled on farm 4 1/2 miles S of Ashland, 22 years ago to town, 7 children in family, 3 sons and 4 girls all deceased but brother Jacob, 1st wife Nov 1894 Christena Heishler, l 1/2 year after her death he married 6 Sept 1905 Elizabeth Yoeter, Mennonite, buried Ashland Cemetery.

ATTERHOLT, James, died at home near Synagogue Church in Hanover Twp., 74y, buried Hayesville Cemetery.

BRUBAKER, Mrs. David, of W. Main St., died Wednesday in Samaritan Hospital.

FACKLER, David, born near Shenandoah 31 Oct 1845, died at home of daughter Mrs. Elmer Wolf 28 Dec, sons Joseph and Byron.

PATTERSON, Edna Mabel Rogers, born 11 Jan 1887, died 16 Dec, 29y11m5d, w/o John, married 15 Aug 1914, 2 children, mother, 4 sisters and 4 brothers survive.

ICEMAN, Child, of Fred of Shreve, died at home of Mrs. Iceman"s grandparents Mr. and Mrs. George Dickey 30 Dec.

LANDIS, James Hervey, died 8 Jan at Lincoln Inn, 78y1m3d, born Wellsburg, Brook Co. WV 5 Dec 1839, to Ashland in 1858, CW Vet, married Mary Sarah Jones d/o Judge J.D. in 1864, 1 son Frank Jones Landis died 26 Oct 1886 at 20y, wife died 12 Aug 1874 at 28y, brother John of DeWitt AR, sister Mrs. Thomas Martin of Gillet AR, buried Jones lot beside wife and son.

RIDGLEY, W.T., funeral Monday in Ashland, s/o John C. formerly of Jeromesville, died Great Falls MT.

SHANKS, Charles D., died at home near Clearcreek Church Saturday, 52y4m19d, wife, 1 son, 3 daughters, 2 brothers and 3 sisters, formerly lived near Paradise Hill, buried Maple Grove Church Cemetery.

MILLER, Chester M., died at PA RR freight house in Mansfield, funeral Wednesday, born 1856 in Nevada, wife and 3 children Era, Robert and Fred.

GAULT, John, died at County Infirmary Tuesday, 75y8m9d, TB, unmarried, 2 sisters and 1 brother, formerly of Polk, buried Nankin Cemetery.

SHANKS, Charles, died Saturday, funeral at Maple Grove Church Tuesday, (see previous article).

SNADER, Anna B., w/o David, died at home 533 Cleveland Rd., hung herself, 51y1m2d, stepmother Mrs. George Rohleder, born 7 Dec 1865 Mifflin Twp., d/o George and Catherine Beck Rohleder, one of 3, father born in Germany, mother born in Vermillion Twp., married 17 Jan 1903, to Ashland 2 years ago from farm l 1/2 miles E of town on Middle Rowsburg Rd., brothers Lewis of SE of Stone Church on old home farm and Frederick of Hayesville, half-sister Eva and 1 half-brother, buried Ashland Cemetery Mausoleum.

THOMAS, Leander, born Wayne Co. OH 25 Apr 1859, with parents to Ashland Co. when quite young, married 23 Dec 1888 Emma McQuate, children:  oldest died in infancy, Ralph of Edgehill Ave. and Clarence of home E of Ashland, funeral 4 Jan Dickey Church, (see previous articles).

ICEMAN, Richard Glenn, only s/o Fred, died at home of grandparents Mr. and Mrs. George Dickey, born 1 Nov 1916 and died 31 Dec 1916, 4 sisters, aged great-grandfather, (see previous article).

VanHORN, Harriet Alice Ferguson, born 12 Dec 1855 in Ashland Co., with parents to Richland Co. in 1876, died Wednesday at home in Bloominggrove Twp., husband, 1 sister and 1 brother survive.

HOEFFLER, __________, w/o J.H., died at home 914 College Blvd. Tuesday, 44y on 4 of Feb, d/o Mrs. Joseph Sailer of Mansfield, 5 children, 3 step-children, 2 sisters and 2 brothers, buried Ashland Cemetery.

SKINNER, Edmund Taylor, 65y, died, hit by train at Mansfield Saturday.
