Smith of Rock Island IL, father a pioneer settler in OH before it was a state, buried Ashland Cemetery. GODFREY, Russell, born Marcellus NY 6 Jan 1833, died at "Edgecliffe" Vermillion OH 26 Sept, 78y8m20d, to Ruggles when a boy and lived with Edward Lee, 17 Oct 1855 married Margaret Them, she died 30 July 1906 at Riverside, he then went to live with daughter Mrs. E.L. McCague of Norwalk, sons: W.E. of NY, L.L. of Columbus, daughters: Mrs. E.L. McCague of Edgecliff, Mrs. Dora Wheeler of Vermillion, Bertha L. Godfrey of Columbus, 5 grandchildren: Willis R. Godfrey of Cleveland, Carl E. McCague of Des Moines IA, Ida V. McCague, Bruce McCague and Raymond Wheeler of Vermillion, buried Ruggles Cemetery. DENNIS, Benjamin, born Soham, Cambridgeshire England 6 Nov 1845, died at Sullivan Oh home 1 Oct, 65y10m25, 2nd of 4 sons and 1 daughter, 22 years ago to Medina OH, married 24 Dec 1870 Annie Layton Moden, children: Mrs. Eva S. Whitcomb and Clair E. Dennis, 1885 to Sullivan, 1 granddaughter, 2 brother and 1 sister survive, (see previous article). Wiley, Mrs. C.R. Linn, Mrs. C.M. Nelson, Mrs. C.L.
