CARNES, Mrs. Lydia, w/o John deceased, nee Humbarger, born Lancaster Co PA 5 Nov 1837, died Ashland 17 July, 72y8m12d, married 1864, to Ashland shortly after marriage, child J.A., granddaughters: Ellen and Marguerite, 1 half-brother and 1 half-sister, (see above).

WORLEY, George, CW 102nd OVI, formerly of Ashland, last 20 years in Butler, Richland Co OH, died 21 July, born Stark Co OH 4 June 1839, married twice, 1st wife's children:  O.A. and Mrs. J.E. Nichols of Butler and William of near Butler, married Elizabeth Wise after CW who died several years ago.

SHELBY, Mrs. William, funeral at Mifflin Monday.

MORR, A.D., died at his home 6 miles E of Ashland Saturday, funeral 26 July.

TINTSLER, James, CW 120th OVI, died at home N of West Salem Saturday, 6 children, buried West Salem.

SMITH, Edna, 13y, died Monday, accidently killed by 12 year old brother Jay at home of grandparents James McKinley, d/o C.C. of 2 miles S of Lexington.

RICHARDS, Mrs. J.B., formerly of Ruggles Twp., died 25 July at home of daughter Mrs. Robert Carr of Mt. Vernon.

LATIMER, William Henry, born 10 Jan 1844, died Hayesville home 20 July, 66y6m10d, CW 102nd OVI, married Henrietta Echelberger 24 Feb 1870, children 1 son and 3 daughters, 1 daughter Mrs. William Fox died 11 years ago, survived by wife, daughters Jennie Thompson, Katherine and Jay.

SHELBY, Pauline, born 24 Aug 1845, died at home near Mifflin 22 July, 64y10m28d, d/o Meholes Tressel, last of 7 brothers and sisters, except for Leonard Trussel of Mansfield, married 1873, 8 children: 5 sons and 3 daughters, 2 sons died in infancy, surviving: Mrs. George Schwingel of Batavia NY, Mrs. Charles Koogle of Mifflin OH, Bessie and Paul of home, 6 grandchildren, husband died 13 years ago, (see previous article).

TIMMONS, James, 29y, died Sunday, hit by train just E of Ashland, unmarried.

JOHNSON, John Wesley, s/o Clem of E of Nankin, died Friday at Fort Wayne IN, brother Purley of Nankin, sisters Mrs. Mack Shuey and Mrs. Charles Roberts of Ashland, 21y4m14d, funeral at Nankin.

SIGLER, infant, s/o S.C. of Wyoming OH, died Saturday, buried Ashland Cemetery in lot of late J.I. Dorland, Mrs. Sigler is a sister of Arthur C. Dorland of Ashland.

HUGHES, Mrs. George, nee Stella Ward, died at Mansfield home Wednesday, ELSEWHERE: Mary Estella Ward, born near Olivesburg 25 Sept 1897, died at Mansfield home 27 July, 32y, married 20 Oct 1907, buried Mt. Olivet Cemetery, d/o W.T. Ward, brother Frank.

REID, William M., son Charles T. of Highland Ave., Ashland; died at Bucyrus home Saturday, 75y8m7d, born Crawford Co 23 Nov 1834.

GARROW, John, died at home last Wednesday, 76y, buried Savannah Cemetery.

SCOTT, Rolla, 36y, left Ashland 10 or 12 years ago, found dead 25 July at Gary IN home, had been dead since abt Friday, buried Rosehill Cemetery in Chicago IL, wife was visiting in Chicago.

DeSHONG, Michael, died Saturday, 80y, at home on corner of Cleveland Ave and Miller St., born Lancaster Co PA 30 July 1830, to Ashland 1856, wife survives, daughter: Emma of 4 miles W of Ashland, sister: Fiana DeShong who lived with brother, buried Ashland Cemetery.

CARTER, William, infant s/o Fred Carter, mother nee Faye Smith, died Friday Philadelphia, grandparents John L. Smith of Cottage St.

FAST, Mr., of Troy Twp., died Sunday, buried 16 August.

DYE, William S., brother Harry C., died Friday in Galion.

EYSTER, Mrs. Alice J., brother Prof. J.A. McDowell of Ashland, died Lakeside Hospital Friday, 51y on 19 Apr last, children Harry of CA, Clyde of near Killbuck, Mrs. George E. King of Killbuck; d/o James C. McDowell, 83y of Killbuck; other brother D.E. McDowell of Killbuck, funeral Killbuck.

SMALLEY, M.A., brother Judge Allen Smalley deceased; born Ashland Co 4 Oct 1850; died Myncaster, British Columbia Saturday while visiting son; 61y; 6 years ago left Toledo for Chesaw WA; wife and 4 children survive.
