DIVLER, Mrs. Sylvia, died at Massillon St. Hospital Sunday, 42y6m2d, born 28 Feb 1869, w/o Amos, children: Jennie and Samuel of Polk, mother Mrs. Christina Stover, siblings: Samuel E. and G.V. Stover; Mrs. Martha Williams of Hastings MI, Mrs. E. Berry of Lorain and Mrs. Florence McEvoy of W. Erie St. in Ashland, buried Polk Cemetery, nephews John, James, Ralph and George McEvoy and Will Berry, cousin George Stover. CATON, Mrs. Nancy, died 27 June, buried Wednesday in Adario Cemetery beside husband who died several years ago, 2 children survive, sisters Mrs. Leota Musser and Mrs. Kate Bard. Michael, died home 4 miles E of Ashland on Cleveland Rd. on Tuesday, 87y8m14d, born in area where he died, buried Riddle Cemetery. ANDERSON, James, of Shelby, sons Att. Michael, died 12 July at home E of Ashland; 5th child of 11 born to Michael and Barbara Ann Riddle, came from PA to OH Spring 1818 and located 1st near Applecreek in Wayne Co, Spring 1820 to 80 acres 4 miles from Ashland on Cleveland Rd in Military school land then part of Richland Co; he was born there in log cabin; he outlived 8 brothers and 2 sisters, 5 brothers grew to manhood: George W., Aaron, Samuel, John R. and William Patterson Riddle, sister Abigail never married, other sister was the 1st wife of James A. Hazlett deceased, youngest brother William Patterson died 7 years ago; born 28 Oct 1822, married 11 Feb 1849 Catherine Hatfield of Chippewa Twp., Wayne Co OH, 2 sons and 2 daughters died in childhood, 2 daughters grew to womanhood, but only 1 survives: Mrs. Mary Catherine Likes w/o Marion whom he lived with on home farm since 1861, wife died 10 years ago, buried little cemetery nearby, Note: gave info from Hill's History, (see previous article).
