ROOT, Mrs. J.W., 77y, died at home in Sandusky on Friday, buried Mohican Monday, formerly Mrs. Charlotte Cosner, lived in Ashland Co. two years ago, sister Mrs. J.W. Grubaugh of Mansfield.

BUCHANAN, John A., died 22 Feb, of W. Marion St., Newton IA, born Ashland OH 66 years ago on 3rd of next month, CW OH Reg, 1869 married Martha Porter, to IA 1879 near Baxter, 6 years ago to Newton, children: Mrs. George Clark of Newton, John and Thomas of near Newton, Mrs. George Charlesworth formerly of ND, he was one of 10 children, 5th to died, siblings: Dr. A.H. of Baxter, Mrs. Jennie Bryant of Dresden OH, rest not named, wife's brother Alfred Porter of Salem IL.

STARK, Mrs. Flossie Leoma, w/o Clem, died at home of mother Mrs. Clara Premer of E. Main St. on Tuesday, 21y6m15d, born Red Haw 1 Sept 1887, son George 3 months old, siblings: George of Flushing MI, John of Waverly OH, Harvey of Polk, Mrs. C.N. Reed of Ashland, Mrs. J.H. Shreffler of Astoria IL, buried Ashland Cemetery.

JOHNSON, Milton, died at E. 4th. St. home on Monday, 57y6m, born Perry Twp. 1852, s/o Jacob who died 1862 and Rebekah who died 1895, married 1874 Alice Brandt, daughter Mrs. Edward McAlister of Akron, siblings: Daniel of Ashland, Benjamin of Mansfield, Mrs. Henry Smalley deceased, Mrs. James Shane of Mohican, Mrs. Charlie Blue deceased, Mrs. Frank Buchan of Kansas City KS, and one sister who died in infancy, buried Ashland Cemetery.

SECRIST, Daniel, 80y, died Sunday at Richland County Infirmary, lived there 15 years.

CAMPBELL, Mrs. Sylvia, died 12 Mar, 91y, of Sullivan, broke hip 28 Feb.

CARDER, Mrs. Sarah Belle, 57y, w/o Joseph T., died at home in Richland County Tuesday, son George Beard.

SIMONS, Claude, s/o Will of Cleveland, died after being hit by street car, grandmother Mrs. Fatina Alberts of Ashland, 7y.

MASTERS, Alexander Scott, died Thursday at home on N. Cottage, formerly the County Children's Home, 46y11m4d, wife and 3 children Howard, Vera and Gladys survive, buried Ashland Cemetery.

LOVERING, Vona Luella, died Sunday at parents home, d/o Joseph of 2 miles NE of Nankin, 20y10m, siblings: Carrie, Mrs. John Tilton, Mrs. S. Emmons, Fred, Harry, Ross and Charles, buried Nankin Cemetery.

KANE, Mrs. Victoria, died at home on W. 4th St. Saturday, buried Redhaw Cemetery, (elsewhere) of Redhaw, 68y11m21d, died at home of son E. J. of 4th St, Ashland, funeral at Redhaw Monday.

KERR, John L., died Galion Wednesday, born Wayne Co. near Congress 8 July 1889, parents of Burbank, wife, parents and siblings:  Samuel of Lodi, Bert of Burbank, Mrs. J. E. Taylor and Metta of Burbank all survive.

CAMPBELL, Sylvia Parmely, d/o Sylvanus and Lois born 3 June 1818 Sullivan OH, 1st white girl born in Sullivan OH, Ashley Parmely was 1st white child born in Sullivan, if lived until 3 June would have been 91y, broke hip 28 Feb, died 13 Mar, married 18 Nov 1844 John L. Campbell of Cincinnati, she always lived in Sullivan except for a brief residence in Elyria and Cincinnati, he was lost on the Mississippi River 2 May 1851, sons John and Edwin, John the oldest died in a RR accident, buried Sullivan Cemetery, (previous article).

KOONS, Jonathan, funeral 22 Mar at his home in Sullivan, abt 88y.

WORTS, Mildred, died 12 Mar at Santa Monica CA, d/o John, funeral 28 Mar in Medina OH, 16y.

BOWERIZE, Mrs. Ida, w/o C. C. died last Friday.

HAWKS, John, s/o James and Martha, born Vermillion Twp. 1 Aug 1846, died 14 Mar, 62y7m24d, married Elizabeth J. Scott 19 Dec 1872, eight children: James A. and Walter of Umatilda Co. OR, William, Leo, George, John B., and Scott of Ashland Co OH, and Miles of West Salem, 5 grandchildren, siblings: Mrs. Mary Budd of Green Twp., Mrs. Jennie Patterson and Mrs. Catherine Mowry of Vermillon Twp., 1 brother and 2 sisters died previously, buried Hayesville Cemetery.

BAKER, Mrs. Mae, brother Att. C.P. Winbigler, w/o J.W. of Garrett IN, died Garrett IN on Sunday, 38y, buried Jeromesville Cemetery.

HESS, William, born PA 1 Mar 1848, s/o Samuel and Elizabeth Hess, died Saturday at home on old Hess farm in Jackson Twp., 61y, to Ashland Co. with parents when young, to N of Ashland on old Coleman farm, 1852 family to Jackson Twp., children: Cora w/o Henry Switzer of Orange Twp., James and Leroy of home, Nettie w/o Ray Cupp of Jackson Twp., children who died previously: Almeda, Lizzie, Vinnie and 2 infants, sisters: Susan Jacobs of near Lattasburg and Lucy somewhere in KS, mother died a few years ago, father died at age abt 61y, wife a sister of Mrs. G.A. Cassel of Orange St., the youngest of 17 children, only 7 living, buried Maple Grove Church Cemetery.
