ALBERSON, William C., born 12 Dec 1826 near present site of Jewett in Harrison Co., died 16 Nov, 81y11m4d, died at home of daughter, he was 4th child of Thomas and Fanny, family to Orange Twp. in 1837 settling 2 miles NE of Orange village, few years ago went to live with daughter Mrs. V.E. Rudy of Clearcreek Twp., married 1 Jan 1853 Lydia J. Bowlby who died Sept 1901, children: Harriet w/o V.E. Ruby and adopted daughter Mrs. Ida Jarvis.

LONG, A.J., niece Mrs. John Slapp of Ashland, died after being hit by train at Burbank, cook for the Drie Carpenter crew, sister Mrs. J.F. Quay of Iberia and Mrs. Carrie Gooding of Iberia, CW, 60y, unmarried.

RICKET, Barbara, died 14 Nov at Scotia NE at home of son, 88y, lived Orange Twp., Ashland Co. OH, until 6 years ago, went to live with son R.R. Krebs.

GONGWER, Mrs. Michael, died Sunday, 59y9m7d, buried Hayesville Cemetery beside son who died previously, survived by husband and 1 brother, (see previous articles).

CONDON, Daniel, 5ly, died at Galion home, born near Ontario, wife and 2 children, father and 4 sisters survive.

CARPENTER, Edward, of 2 miles W of Hayesville on Baltzer Shenberger farm, cut throat Friday, abt 37 years, s/o George of 5 miles S of Hayesville, wife and family may d.?

CONDON, Daniel, of Galion, died, 51 years, born near Ontario, wife and 2 children, father and 4 sisters survive, (see previous article).

BRYAN, William P., died 21 Nov at Mohican Twp. home, known as old Bryan homestead entered by his grandfather Joseph Bryan of Jefferson Co. OH from the U.S. Government 10 Mar 1815, died 70y4m, last of 7, s/o William who died Jan 1872 who lived from birth to death at homestead, married 31 Dec 1861 Elizabeth Wachtel who died 19 Apr 1906, children: 4 sons and 3 daughters, of whom Charles H. and Lewis, Mrs. Mary Botdorf, Mrs. Ira Myers and Mrs. Luther Jones survive, 4 grandchildren, buried Synagogue Cemetery.

RIGGINS, Gurnia, of Ashland OH, abt 23y, worked for Conrad Reaser of abt 3 1/2 miles NW of Ashland, raised by foster parents in FL, died Friday at Akron Thuma hotel.

CANAHAN, Mrs. Martha, died in alley near the power house in Mansfield Thursday, children: Mrs. William Corbett of Mansfield and Mrs. Sanders of Ashland Co., 59y.

JACKSON, J.W.C., killed by Erie RR detective H.R. Curry for stealing coal along RR, 50y, of W of Marion, wife and 5 children survive.

BEER, Miss Emily, died at Walnut St. home on Tuesday, born S of Ashland, lived Ashland abt 30 years, 82y, sister Mrs. Amanda Woodhouse of Walnut St. and Mrs. Dr. T.J. Barton of Zanesville, brother T.M. Beer of Ashland deceased.

BROOKS, William R., 55y, of Shelby, brother-in-law Henry E. Sheets formerly of Ashland, died after being hit by train in Shelby Wednesday, wife and 2 children.

MITCHELL, Dan, formerly of Hotel Otter in Ashland, left abt 4 years ago, 69y, died Monday, unmarried, also formerly of Albion MI, uncle G.S. Mitchell of Lestie MI, buried Akron.

KELLOGG, William, died Friday at Wheeler IL, son George of Ohio St., Ashland OH, 80y, married twice, 6 children survive: Florence of Norwalk, William Jr. of Berlin Hts., Fred and George of Ashland, Mrs. Hale Rice of Elyria and Mrs. Luther Walden of Decatur IL, formerly of Wakeman Ohio, about 25 years in IL, buried Ashland Cemetery.

SCOTT, Ralph, from Butler abt 4 years ago, died Saturday at Mr. Leader's home on W. Main St., s/o Douglass of Butler, 20 years last March, brother Frank and 4 other brothers and 2 sisters, buried Butler.

HILLER, Mrs. D.C., of 1/2 mile S of 5-Points, died Friday, 60y2m24d, husband and children:  Esther Cobie, Ruth Hiller and Tracey Hii survive, funeral at Mifflin.

THOMAS, Miss Elizabeth, died Friday at Cleveland Ave. home, 78y, lived all her life within 4 miles of Ashland until the last 25 years in Ashland, buried Ashland Cemetery.

FLICK, O.J., 71y, died Friday at Rowsburg, sisters: Mrs. Hiram Lucas of Rowsburg, Mrs. Emma Taylor of Akron and Mrs. Eliza Stoll and Mrs. Catherine Burwell of KS, unmarried, buried Reedsburg Cemetery, most of life in west, (elsewhere) born Somerset Co PA 9 Mar 1838, to OH when 16 years, few years later to IL to Surtiff College, graduated, past 10 years at sister's home in Akron.
