A. who came to Ashland in 1869, preceded in death by oldest brother William A. of Galion who died there 6 Sept 1905 and left wife and 2 daughters, a sister died 1886 at age 4 1/2y, a sister died in infancy, survived by Alvin L., his brother, and wife who live with his parents, Ada A. Beninghof and Maude Maxheimer of Ashland and wife and children of Milton Twp., buried in Ashland Cemetery. (see previous article) SHULY, Miss Anna, died at family home on W. Main St on Friday of TB, 33y, born 22 Nov 1873, parents died previous and one sister died last December, survived by brothers Henry and Charles, sister Lottie, buried in Ashland Cemetery. FITZPATRICK, Morgan, word received in Ashland Thursday from Cincinnati where he died while on way from South where he had lived for health, TB, wife and 3 children live on Carroll St., parents in Wisconsin, buried in Ashland Cemetery, children Sarah aged 17y, Vincent aged 13y and Morgan aged 11y. BUDD, George S., died Columbus OH hospital. HULL, Mrs. Ella, w/o Postmaster J. W. of Millersburg, died yesterday of typhoid fever, had been visiting her mother of near Applecreek who died of same, Mr. Hull's 3rd wife during last 3 yrs, 2 sons are also dead, living with J. W. are blind brother, grandson, and 80y old mother. CYPHERS, Frank, oldest s/o Jackson of 1 mile E of Rowsburg, died Saturday. GRIFFS, John A., 57y, of Marion, died after setting fire to himself. ROSE, Samuel, abt 40y, died Saturday at Wooster Electric Light Company. FARRELL, Rev. James Joseph, pastor of St. Mary's Catholic Church of Akron, known in Ashland, died Sunday, born Kilkenny Ireland 18 Oct 1860. CYPHERS, Frank, just turned 23y, died, survived by parents and siblings Ray, Mrs. Nettie Barnhart, Grace and Lulu. JONES, child, d/o Melvin of LaFayette, buried 28 Aug, 19y5m25d. 3 OCTOBER 1906 CALLAHAN, Lorenzo, died 28 Sept., 77y old, lived whole life in Ashland Co., s/o Jesse and Rachel Carter Callahan, born 7 May 1829 on old Daniel Carter farm E of Ashland, when 2 wks old moved with parents to S of Ashland which has been his home in log cabin which parents built, then he built new home near cabin, married Mar 1859 Martha Porter of Vermillion Twp. d/o John and Rebecca, 2 sons and 1 daughter of whom Mrs. W. B. Starr died previous and 1 son died previous, wife died 3 yrs ago, son John survives, brother William aged 80y of Fostoria. NEFF, Mrs. Jennie, born 24 Mar 1846, died 28 Sept, 60y6m4d, married Malon Bruce 20 Dec 1866, children W. F., Gertrude, Mae, Sylvia who died 5 yrs ago last March, and Verna, buried Ashland Cemetery. SHELLY, Christian, died, widow Sarah Shelly, children Mrs. Cora Darr of DeGraff OH, W. , William H., and James. (see previous article) COOPER, Samuel, born 14 Mar 1852, died 26 Aug, of near Mohican, married Ella Beaird 30 Dec 1875, son Elza, 3 sisters and 1 brother all of near Ashland, buried Jeromesville Cemetery. CRIST, Mrs. Lillian, died 12 Sept at Hillsdale MI Hospital, 2nd d/o Jonas Thompson of Sullivan who died 10 June 1861, married 23 Mar 1887 at Waldron MI to Isaac Crist, survived by 13y old son and husband. BRUCE, Mrs. Melon, taken ill at daughter's home Mrs. Charles Heifner, died Friday, funeral Monday at family home in Clearcreek. OSWALT, Mrs., funeral at Franklin Thursday, had relatives in Adario. 10 OCTOBER 1906 STUART, Mrs. Lydia Switzer, died Monday at old Switzer homestead, d/o Homer Switzer of Cleveland Ave., Ashland, homestead abt 3 miles W of Savannah, w/o J.A. Stuart whom she married abt 2 yrs ago, sister of Lena and Melvin of Ashland, 30 yrs on 22nd of last January, buried Savannah Cemetery. MAJOR, Robert S., of E Liberty St, died Sunday at Lakeside Hospital in Cleveland, buried Wooster Cemetery, formerly of Plain Twp., Wayne Co, s/o John and Sarah, born Co. Down Ireland 1849, with parents to US when 7 yrs old directly to Wayne Co, 1887 married Susan McAfee, children Rosa, John, Walter and Frank. MYERS, Mrs. Albert, died Wednesday at home E of Ashland, d/o Henry Kilhefner, survived by parents, husband, brothers and sister. PAXTON, N.
