MAUER, Miss Phoebe, died Wednesday at Marion sanitarium, buried Loudonville, brother Henry of Ashland, sister Mrs. Melissa Moores of Perrysville, a sister Hannah died 2 mos ago.

HIRSCH, Benjamin, shot himself Friday, of Medina, 64y, carpenter, wife and 3 grandchildren survive.

OBERLIN, Mrs. John, 31y, died at her home in Shenandoah on Thursday.

ROCKERFELTER, child, 18m, d/o Julius of 2 miles N of Orange on Sullivan-Orange Rd, died Sunday, buried in cemetery near M. E. Church in Orange.

HOSTLER, Samuel, born Perry Twp. 13 Oct 1847, died 27 July, buried Meng Cemetery, married Catherine Meng 2 Feb 1871, children Alva and Vernon, brother of John and Curtis of Ashland, William of Jeromesville, Mrs. Wilour of Canton, Mrs. Moses of Wooster, Mrs. Trease of IN, Mrs. Kahl of Jeromesville and one in Nashville.

EMMENS, Guy, 16y, s/o Hugh of 3 miles N of Ashland, struck by lightening and died on Sunday, brother of Gloe and Florence of home on Savannah Rd., Mrs. Dessie M. Imhoff of 8th St., Val and Harry of home, Clyde of Troy Rd., nephew of Mrs. D. R. Boffenmyer of Cottage St., buried in Maple Grove Cemetery.

SIMONTON, William, died Monday, 61y, wife and 3 daughters, 4 sons survive.

BOFFENMYER, Josephine, w/o Henry C. of Jennings Ave. in Cleveland, formerly of Ashland, mother of Roy and Mrs. Celia Bishop.

GODFREY, Mrs. Russell, of Ruggles, died 30 July nee Thom, husband and 5 children survive.

ENGLE, Alva, died Monday, parents and 1 brother survive (Rowsburg News)

SCOTT, Alexander, abt 84y, Presb. Minister, of West Salem, died Monday.

KELLEY, Bernard, 3y, s/o Edward of Mansfield, died Saturday.

BOYD, Nannie J., born Ashland Co. 24 July 1854, nee Nelson, in 1880 married J. K. Boyd of Ashland Co., 1888 to CA, died 16 July in San Jose CA, children DeEstraye C, G. Lossing and Maxwelton L.

McCONNELL, Margaret, born 11 Aug 1818, nee Miller, married Nov 1840 Thomas McConnell, 2 sons and 3 daughters of whom 1 daughter died in infancy and son Miller died 1864 CW, surviving are George, Addie Frink and Rachel Marsh, 7 grandchildren, died 3 Aug. (Sullivan)

HARTMAN, Miss Eliza, of 2 miles S of Paradise Hill, died 25 July in Massillon, 58y6m9d, sister Mrs. John Stoner and 2 brothers survive.

SCHOPF, Mrs. Fred, died Saturday at Lakeside Hospital in Cleveland, daughter Mrs. Charles Corts of Lorain, sister Mrs. Kate Kosht of Cleveland, brother Frank Martin, abt 53y, son William of Ashland, brothers William and Charles died previous, husband died abt 5 yrs ago, buried Ashland Cemetery.

KAGEY, Miss Ann, died Monday at home of youngest brother Henry of 7 miles from Ashland and 1 mile from Mifflin, 77y, aunt of Mrs. W. V. Beach, Mrs. H. E. Snyder, Herbert Kagey, Mrs. Charles Hoover and Mrs. Bert Fill all of Ashland, buried Mifflin Cemetery.

SNOOK, Harold, 5m, s/o John W. of near Lucas, died Wednesday, Mrs. Snook d/o William Daubenspeck.

SIDLE, Charles, killed by train near Canton on Monday.

GREER, Mrs. Myrtle, died Bellville on Thursday, husband and 3 children survive.

MARSINO, Harry, 5m old on 18 Aug, twin, died Monday, s/o of Steve of N. Cottage St., other twin Carrie is ill, funeral at St. Edward's Catholic Church.

SWINEFORD, Frank, died at his home 1 1/2 miles E of Hayesville on Sunday, wife and seven sisters survive, funeral on Tuesday.

CASSADAY, Dinah, born 1830's of slaves in NY, black, when young became servant of Thomas Robinson of Syracuse NY, then to M. Louise Bowler d/o Thomas where she lived, died at #1097 Prospect Ave. in Cleveland, had served family abt 60 yrs.

SCHOTT, Rev. William P., (picture) , CW 4th PA Cavalry, died West Salem 7 Aug, 60y4m9d, born Lebanon, Lebannon Co. PA 27 Mar 1846, abt 1866 to near Columbus OH, married 30 Mar 1870 Harriet Reese, 4 sons and 1 daughter of whom 2 sons and 1 daughter died previous. (see previous article)

MYERS, Mrs. J. Madison, formerly of Ashland Co. living in Chatsworth IL, died 17 Aug where she had lived 40 yrs, nee Mary A. C. McClain born Savannah OH 18 June 1828, to IL in 1850 and lived in El Paso, married 17 Jan 1857 J. Madison Myers of Savannah, in 1865 to Chatsworth, foster children James of Gilman and Ladie of Chatsworth, brother James M. McClain of Savannah Oh, buried Chatsworth Cemetery. (d/o Jacob and Elizabeth McClain to Savannah from PA 1822)
