MAXHEIMER, William, (from Monroeville to FT Wayne Journal Gazette dated 27 Mar) died yesterday at 9 at home near Monroeville IN, to Monroeville in early 60's, pioneer resident of Monroe Twp. and Allen Co., early years in Ashland Co. OH, CW 42nd OH Reg, abt 75y, wife and children: Frank and John of area, Mrs. Nora Hinton of near Willsville OH, Mrs. Mariah Fulk and Mrs. Eliza Wiley, brother of Daniel and Orlando of Ashland, Mrs. Sarah J. Wear of Orrville OH and Peter of Altimont IL.

GLENN, William, funeral Thursday, father of R. L.

PORTER, Leander, formerly of Ashland Co., born near Nova, died in West Salem on Thursday, an undertaker, his wife was sister of late Mrs. George Luce of Ashland and Mrs. Kelsey of Nova, (under Nova News) born Ruggles Twp., Ashland Co. 6 July 1845, buried Nova vault, wife, 1 sister and 1 brother survive.

PLANK, Mrs. Margaret, funeral Saturday, widow of Levi of Montgomery Twp., 78y, buried in Dickey Church Cemetery.

PETERS, David S., of New Pittsburg, abt 83y, funeral Monday.

SMALLEY, Judge Allen, died, born near Perrysville 26 Dec 1841, one of 17 children, when young went to Wayne Co. with family, CW Co. D 49th OVI, lived Upper Sandusky, buried Old Mission Cemetery.

WOLF, Andrew, of north of Loudonville, 25y, died Wednesday in farm accident.

RYLAND, infant, died Wednesday in Ashland.

McCONKEY, Mrs. Catherine, of Jeromesville, died Sunday there, w/o A. S., only daughter died abt 2 yrs ago.

STAMET, Miss Eva, abt 22y, died Columbus, buried Livia, d/o Harry, cousin of Will Morr, Howard Morr, John Wile and Zenith Wile of Ashland.

HEFFELFINGER, Wallace, CW, died at home in Jeromesville on Sunday, 74y, a blacksmith, wife died previously, 5 children survive.

REDDING, Charles, only s/o Philip of Sandusky St. died Wednesday, would have been 27y next June, buried Ashland Cemetery.

MARKLEY, Lavina, 70y, died Wednesday, of 1 1/2 miles west of Orrville, w/o late Joel who died abt 12 yrs ago, aunt of Orlando Markley, Mrs. Nancy Hamilton, William, George and Harry Franks.

BAHN, child, 10m, c/o L. A., died Monday, buried Dickey Church Cemetery on Tuesday.

McFADDEN, James, of Mohican Twp., 5'8", black hair, black chin whiskers streaked with gray, light gray eyes, florid complexion and one upper tooth missing, drowned in Jerome Fork Creek, suicide, body found Sunday, missing 1 week ago last Saturday, abt 68y, father of Edward of Ashland, Melvin, Mrs. Clara Bowers, Mrs. Ella Scott and Libbie, wife survives, 2 oldest children died previously, buried Meng's Cemetery.

STURTEVANT, William, buried Ruggles Cemetery, uncle of Mrs. Effie Nugent, N. Gamble St., Shelby OH.

PLANK, Margaret, nee Filson, born Cluster Co., PA (Chester?) 20 Sept 1827, 1849 married Levi who died Aug 1897, 1850 to Ashland Co., lived 4 1/2 miles east of Ashland, died 29 Mar, 78y6m9d, 9 children of which 2 daughters died in infancy, Alice died at age 22y, T. R., Arthur, Mrs. M. Roberts, Mrs. T. H. Beattie, Mrs. John Smith, Mrs. E. L. Kilhefner, between 1845-1845, four brothers (Jacob, Nichols, Issac and Levi Plank) along with two brothers-in (Issac Schmucker and Christian Hess) immigrated from Lancaster Co. PA to OH, all coming to Ashland Co, all are dead now, she was buried in Dickey Church cemetery.

PETERS, David S., died 1 Apr, 83y, born Dauphin Co. PA 23 Jan 1823, to OH Apr 1830, lived in this area 76y, CW Co I 102nd OVI, survived by wife, 5 children and 9 grandchildren. (New Pittsburg news)

PILLE, Henry Joseph, of Ashland, CW vet, died this Tuesday at his home on Sandusky St., 67y on 24 Jan, survived by wife and children: Edward, Mrs. F. P. Horne and Katherine all of Ashland, funeral at Catholic Church.
