CHAPIN, Mrs. Serai Gates, died at home of daughter, Mrs. M. A. Bowman, born Rodman NY 1818, to Medina Co. OH with parents at age 18y, 6 yrs later married Ebenezer Chapin, mother of Amelia of Omaha NB, Emily who died young, Emma w/o M. A. Bowman and James of Akron, buried Chippewa Lake Cemetery, Medina Co. OH. LASH, Lloyd E., died in Cleveland Sunday, s/o William formerly of Ashland, nephew of Ira Lash and D. E. Myers, brother of Mrs. Daisy Clugston of Cleveland, abt 25y, left Ashland 2 yrs ago this coming May, buried Ashland Cemetery in lot of grandmother, Mrs. Poorman. ARTER, David, died at his home south of Ashland Sunday, father of Mrs. Nathan Myers of CA, Mrs. Michael Humphrey of Nankin, Edward, Milton and Kate, and one child who died previously, to Ashland Co. from PA, buried Dickey Church Cemetery. SLOAN, Samuel A., died 15 Dec in Greighton MO, s/o James S. who left Ashland abt 1865, born abt 51 yrs ago on Orange Road near old Sloan mill, half-brother H. F. Vantilburg, wife, child and 1 sister survive. MYERS, C. C., formerly of Jackson Twp., died at his home in West Salem, father of Mrs. James Herr of Ashland.
