PROCT, Mrs. George W., died Monday from bullet wound, shot by husband, buried Yankeetown, survived by 7y old son and 4y old daughter, lived between Seville and Wadsworth, nee Kate Lewis of near Funk, her husband spent his boyhood in vicinity of Nashville, Holmes Co. in home of Martin Knox.

ALTAFER S. L., died in Norwalk Thursday, 67y.

PRICE James A., died Wednesday in Bellville at home, born England 11 Feb 1847, came to US with parents 2 1/2 yrs later, settled 1st in Perrysville, later to Worthington Twp., married 8 Mar 1887 Leah Severns, son James Edward.

SUMMERS, Mrs. Wilson, burned to death last week, Mrs. Henry Summers received word from South Bend IN, husband, 4 daughters and 2 sons survive, formerly of Nova.

KIRSCH Mrs. Jacob, died Wednesday at her home abt 2 miles South of Paradise Hill, 80y, born Germany, husband died previously, children: Mary and Fred of home, Atlantic Kirsch who was born in the ocean and lives 2 miles this side of Mansfield and John a minister of Mt. Rose, sister of George Keck of Columbus.

MANNER Noble, of Perrysville, funeral held there Friday.

BERRY Henry, funeral at West Salem.

BACKHOUSE Sarah A., w/o T. B., 54y, died Thursday at home on W. Main St., born 4 Jul 1851, to Ashland 3 yrs ago from farm South of town where she'd lived for 30 yrs, survived by son: Harvey M., sister: Mrs. Walter McCuen and 3 brothers: William, Henry and Emanuel Sheller all of South of town, buried Ashland Cemetery.

RYLAND Wilson, 75y22d, died 24 Apr, born in Vermillion Twp., Ashland Co. one of 11 children, brother, David of Vermillion Twp. and sister, Mrs. Catherine Reading of Akron, 49 yrs ago the 7th of last Sept married Jennie Ling who survives, children: Mrs. Michael McNaul of MO who is mother of 8, Mrs. Ward who died several yrs ago, Curtis and Luther who are twins, and Mrs. W. A. Gault, buried Nankin Cemetery.

CHANDLER Jacob, last of 8 brothers of Mrs. J. W. Grubaugh of Ashland, died at his home in Coffeyville KS.

MANSFIELD Mrs. John, died Tuesday at her home in Chicago, nee Ida Reed, sister of Mrs. W. L. Cordell, buried Ashland Cemetery.

GILBERT Henry, died at his home on W. Washington St. Monday, 75y, wife survives, came from NY abt 18 yrs ago.

SHEETS Alfred, died 22 Apr Bagley IA, brother of Jacob, born 23 Oct 1823 Wayne Co., left here in 1847, lived Guthrie Co. IA, 1845 married Mary J. Green, son M.M., buried Brethren Church Cemetery in Begley.

CHAPIN Robert, died in Akron, funeral there, nephew of Mrs. M. A. Bowman of Ashland, 8th OH Reg served in Cuba.

CROZIER Mrs. George, funeral Sunday at Christian Church, born 14 Jun 1831, died 4 May 73y10m20d in KS, she was 4th child in Campbell family of 11 children (6 sons and 5 daughters), married William 18 Jan 1853, 1 son and 2 daughters, grandchild died 1903, sister of Mrs. E.A. Gorham and 1 brother, buried Sullivan Cemetery.

RUPERT Mrs. Casper, died at home of nephew, Harvey Rupert of Polk, last Saturday, mother of Frank of Ashland, funeral Rowsburg.

CRONK Hiram, last survivor of War of 1812 in which he served at age 14, died at age 105y, farmed near Rome NY, buried Cypress Hills.

DERRENBERGER, child, of Lake Twp., drowned in pail of water, parents formerly of Washington Twp., Holmes Co. grandchild of Mrs. George Derrenberger who died Sunday at age 78y.

SHANTZ Abraham, of near Kidron, died Saturday.

GOUGH Anna, died Blue Rock OH 8 May, 58y8m24d, oldest d/o Amos and Rebecca Albright, born 4 Aug 1846 abt 4 miles North of Orange, married Rev. J. S. Gough 7 Nov 1871, mother of Mrs. F. B. ALEXANDER of Clyde and sister of Daniel Albright of Savannah and J. A. Albright of Nankin.

McCLURE Hezekiah, lived 1 mile South of Galion, found dead Monday, on 10 Aug would have been 79y.

RUPERT Mrs. Sarah, of Ashland, died in Polk, 68y, called there due to sickness of her sister-in-law, Mrs. Rachel Rupert who is the sister of Obed Smetzer. (see previous article)

BARRICK Kate, nee Kate Alice Gordon, born 16 May 1853 Nova, d/o Harry and Mattie Gordon, married E. C. Barrick 4 Nov 1869, mother of J. W. Geier, Mattie R., Mrs. J. E. Ryan, Iva E. deceased and Flossie B.

ABBE John, funeral at home in Windsor Locks CT Saturday, 85y, wife and 4 daughters survive.

BARTLETT Andrew W., of Loudonville, found dead in bed Saturday, wife survives, relative of Mrs. Herzog.

THOMAS Levi, oldest person in Huron Co., died at home of his daughter, Mrs. Charles Lee, last Friday at New London, 99y.
