IL Vol., married Samantha Jane Prinkley 26 Aug 1866, 2 sons and 1 daughter.

HESS, Henry, Sr., of Galion, died Saturday, 73y.

GARMAN, Katherine, w/o Francis, died 26 Mar at home 1/2 mile North of Burbank, grandmother of Mrs. William Austin of 3rd St., Ashland OH.

WHITCOMB, Mrs. N. H., died 19 Mar, at home of son Curtis E., 78y7m12d, nee Jane Ann Toms born Jordon NY 7 Aug 1826, 1838 came to OH with widowed mother, mother married Aretus Marsh Jr. 14 Jan 1843, Jane married Horace N. Whitcomb, 4 children: Mrs. Lottie McConnell of San Diego CA, Mrs. Carrie Bennett of Black Earth WI, Klarens Eugene the youngest and other not named, husband died 18 May 1886, he was Corp. in CW Co A 182 Reg OVI.

McFARLAND, Rev. Martin, 68y, hung himself at home in north St. Louis MO, son-in-law of John Ohler who owned the Dete farm abt 5 miles South of Ashland OH.

KOPP, Harriet, died Monday at Galion, a sister of Mrs. J. M. Kelley of Orange St., Ashland, d/o Thomas Shaw, husband Willard and 4y old daughter Margaret survive, sisters: Mrs. J. H. Ogden, Mrs. C. W. Powers, Mrs. George Weiss of Akron and Mrs. Kelley, brothers: Charles E. Shaw of Galion, she was born 27 Mar 1874 Medina Co. OH, married 22 Jun 1895 Willard Kopp, burial in Fairview Cemetery, Galion.

GAULT, Levi, died at his home near Rowsburg on Wednesday, survived by 2nd wife and children by 1st wife: Truman of Ashland, Albert of near Rowsburg, Mrs. Anna Nichol of Sycamore, Wyandot Co., Mrs. Josephine Alexander and Mrs. Mary Linn of near Jeromesville and Mrs. Ida Hess of near Hayesville, no children by 2nd wife, he was a carpenter and farmer, funeral held at Dickey Church, Rowsburg.

SPEAR, Mrs. W. F. (Charlotte), abt 65y, died in MO, sister of Mrs. W. W. Spear of W. Liberty St., Ashland, d/o Joseph Watt, her daughters: Mrs. Albert Plank of Jeromesville, Mrs. Anna Gray of GA and Mrs. Edith Reid of Ellington MO, burial in Allamode MO.

SMITH, Mrs. Amos, died 3 Apr at home of daughter, Mrs. Anna Pence, 68yllm1d, nee Mary Jane Taylor born 2 May 1836, married Nov 1864, children: Thomas and Anna.

CHANEY, Milton, 53y, hung himself in cow stable near his home abt 5 miles NE of town Tue, wife and 20y old son Evans, mother, brother: William of Nankin, sisters: Mrs. James Anderson of Mansfield, Mrs. Kate Cassie of Cleveland, Mrs. Laura Cross somewhere in the West, and cousin: Luther Chaney of Ashland survive, father, Wesley Chaney, died abt 1 yr ago.

BIRD, William R., died 8 Apr at Loudonville, 43y, born Lake Twp., s/o Sparks Bird, surviving 1 son, 4 sisters, 2 brothers, father and stepmother, his mother and 1 brother died previous.

MILLER, Samuel, died last Friday, brother of George Miller of Nova area, great uncle of F.E. Miller, buried Waterloo IN, went to IN abt 40 yrs ago.

DOLBY, Mrs. Abraham, died Sunday at her home 3/4 mile South of Pleasant Ridge, 52y, husband and son survive, sister of Mrs. Sarah Jane Zimmerman of SE of Jeromesville, Mrs. William Scott of E. Main St., Ashland and another who died previously, 1/2 siblings: Simon, A. D., Elza, Will and Tully Scott, Mrs. Christian Snyder, Mrs. Preston Countreyman, Mrs. Melvin Davolt and Mrs. Ira Gault, buried Dickey Church Cemetery.

ROBISON, John C., died at his home in Mifflin Friday, 45y, wife and 2 daughters, buried 1/4 mile from home.

RYLAND, Wilson, died Monday at home 1/2 mile East of Nankin, 80y, wife and 4 children: Luther, Curtis, Mrs. Lillie Gault and a daughter in the West, buried Nankin.

VAN NEST, Joseph J. P., died Sunday in Wooster, father of Mayor M. M. Van Nest of Wooster, he was born Rowsburg 6 Aug 1841, s/o John who died a few months ago, CW Co. F 120th OVI, married 22 Aug 1862 Mary Gardiner, children: John M., Marcaus M. and Maud of Rowsburg and Mable, Charles, and Mrs. Carrie Derr of Cleveland.

PIFER, Mary Ann Krebs, born 16 Sep 1841, died 18 Apr, 63y7m2d, married Henry Pifer of Orange 24 Mar 1864, children: Jennie Pifer Barnes and Lorin, 6 grandchildren, 4 brothers and 2 sisters, husband died 4 months ago, buried Rochester Cemetery.
