THOMPSON, Mrs. C. R., died Tuesday at Newark, formerly of Ashland, nee Maude Evans, abt 6 weeks ago husband died, 7m old child survives.

PIPER, Valentine, died 22 Nov in Galion at home of daughter, Mrs. W. H. Price, born Jefferson Co. OH 22 Apr 1822, 82y7m, a son J. N. of Albion, married 1850 Susan Clayburg who died 1865, 2 sons and 1 daughter, 7 grandchildren, 2 great-grandchildren, married Mar 1867 Mrs. Mary J. Rote who died 1893, 1 child who died infancy. TIBIAS, Mrs. Pharey, born 21 Sept 1839, died Redhaw 28 Nov, 65y2m21d, married 4 May 1854, 10 children, 25 grandchildren, 6 great-grandchildren, 4 children died previously, came to Redhaw 1860.

JOHNSON, Mrs. Lottie Sperry, w/o Chandler G., died Saturday Akron City Hospital, 20y, her mother died when she was a infant, her father, Melvin, died when she was 9y, lived with aunt and uncle D. W. Hoot of Galion, buried Galion.

OHL, Mary, died at home of son, Samuel of Mansfield Rd. 20 Nov, 78y, w/o Stephen deceased, 12 children of which 10 survive, Mrs. Ohl died not her daughter, Alice Kreighbaum. (see previous article)

CHRISTY, Leon, of Ruggles area, died last week.

CLARK, Martha J., w/o John of Ashland, College Ave., died Wednesday, adopted daughter and some sisters in MI, funeral at Dickey Church.

GADDIS, Mary A., died Saturday at home of daughter, Mrs. William Hamilton, 312 Walnut St., husband died previously, 78y, buried Ashland Cemetery.

ULLMAN, George, of western Holmes Co., died Washington Twp. this week, 68y.

POTTER, Harry, s/o Frank, from Wooster to near Loudonville abt 14 yrs ago, died at Mt. Gilead Thursday, abt 38y.

SHEARER, Daniel, died Sunday in Fayette PA, brother of David and Phillip of Ashland, he was the oldest, 86y, also siblings of Ashland include Fred and Margaret, also John of Hayesville.

FULMER, Sophia Stentz, born Harrisburg, Dauphin Co. PA 9 Feb 1828, died 7th, 76y9m28d, with parents to OH when young, married Daniel 22 Oct 1856, a son Urias, buried Nova Vault.

PIPER, Henry, of Rochester, killed on Big 4 RR track 2 miles East of Rochester Center, 60y, funeral Wednesday.

DILLER, Helen E., died Sunday at Marion, niece of Mrs. Charles Hard of Buffalo NY, born Aug 1859, mother died 10m ago, father is also deceased, brother: J. G. Nixon of Mansfield, sister: Mrs. Amanda Johnson of Ashland, buried Ashland Cemetery.

BILLHIMER, Abram, of Wayne Co., died in Congress Thursday, f/o William of Ashland.

PHILLIPS, Cloyd, of New Lime, Ashtabula Co. OH area, 13y, shot and killed accidentally, only s/o Maynard, cousin of Miss Rhea Mansfield of Ashland, father died several weeks ago, several weeks before that Mrs. Phillips mother died.


28 DECEMBER 1904

MILLER, Mrs. Meda, 32y, widow of Audrey, shot and killed by Bart Strang Saturday, 35y, who then poisoned himself, she d/o Mrs. A. E. Merril.

POLLOCK, Robert, died Clearcreek Twp. Thursday, 70y, 5 children, buried Olivesburg Cemetery.

WINBIGLER, George, died Massillon State Hospital Wednesday, formerly of Ashland, patient there several years, buried Jeromesville, nephew: Mayor C. P. Winbigler of Jeromesville, 79y.

BITTINGER, Miss Sarah, died West of McKay, 72y4m6d, funeral Tuesday, born and died on same farm, buried family burial ground, d/o Susan and David, sister: Mrs. Michael Heffner.

EYSTER, Alonzo, 59y, hit and killed by train Wednesday, children: Leo and Howard.

CAMP, Mrs. Wesley, of Pleasant Home died Wed.

PARCKER, Mrs. Nancy, of Adario, died at home of daughter, Mrs. William Crawford, 15 Dec, 85y, husband John died 5 weeks previously, 86y, children: Mrs. N. Guthrie of Shiloh and Alvin of Toledo.

PATTERSON, Mrs. Judson, died Mansfield 19 Dec, 47y7m15d, nee Augusta Stevenson, born 4 May 1857, 3 sisters and 1 brother.
