Thomas W. Cole
Thomas Willard Cole, 91 of Estill Springs, died Saturday at Franklin County Hospital following an extended illness.
He was a retired farmer and a former school bus driver.
A Franklin County native, he was born Jan. 19, 1891. He was the son of Pascall and Febie Ray Cole.
He was a member of Bethel United Methodist Church, where services were at 2 p.m. today. The Rev. John Pennington officiated. Burial was in Marble Plains Cemetery. Moore-Cortner Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Cloies Elliott Cole; two daughters, Mrs. Mary Williamson, Murray, Ky., and Mrs. Mattie Smathers, Pensacola, Fla., a son, Thomas M. Cole, Lancaster, Calif.; a stepson, Charles Ardis, Estill Springs; seven grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
