There is an Anna Bodine who married a William Sutphin. They had a daughter, Eleanor, who was born July 9, 1827 in Livingston, New York.

Later, I was sent info on a William Sutphin in the 1850 Census of Mt. Morris Twp., Livingston Co., NY. However, the data appears difficult to decipher. My best guess is that it says this:

Wm. Sutphin..............63.....NJ
Marinda/Mariana.....21.....NY
John.............................27.....NY
June A. .......................18.....NY
Sarah..........................16.....NY
Elizabeth....................14.....NY
William H. .................11.....NY

Note: I'm not sure who this Marinda/Mariana is. She may be his oldest daughter, but if so, why isn't she in order of age (i.e., after John)? If she is not his daughter, maybe she is a young wife. LDS says that an Anna Bodine married a William Henry Sutphen in about 1821. That might indicate that Anna was his second wife. Whatever the case, Anna is not in this census. Maybe she had passed away by this time (1850).

After getting the message below, I think we can safely assume that his Ann Bodine was the one who married William Sutphen.

I did find this today: I went through and looked at John Bodine's papers again:
John Bodine d 1826. He died without a will.

Interested parties are John G Bodine (oldest son, of Mt. Morris); Anna, wife of William Sutphen of Lyons; Elisabeth, wife of Lewis Tallman of Owasco; Gilbert (B) Bodine of Owasco; Mariah Bodine of Owasco; Abraham (B) Bodine of Owasco; Hannah Bodine of Owasco; Henry and David Bodine of Sempronius. The "last three [are] udner the age of 21...Garret Pearsol of Sempronius is their guardian....[all] children of said deceased [John Bodine]."

The account wasn't settled until 1832.

...I included the middle initials in () because they aren't in the actual letters, but rather in the signatures at the bottom of the petition to have the account settled.
