He remained in Sempronius with his mother and sisters. Peter and Cornelius are mentioned as "my youngest sons" in Cornelius' will. I think someone has guessed that his middle name was "Cruser," but, if anything, it was probably "Cozyn."

According to the 1880 Census of Niles, NY, Peter was a farmer.

DIED: BODINE--In West Niles, Peter C. Bodine aged 74 years, 4 months and 17 days.

Peter and Catherine Bodine were buried in Owasco Rural Cemetery. Their grave markers read: Peter C. Bodine Died Nov. 1, 1883, age 78 years, husband of Catherine Bodine. Catherine Bodine died Oct. 17, 1891 age 84 years, wife of Peter Bodine.
