Sources: (1) Date is based on a universal tradtion, but undocumented by original sources. Place is somewhat more documented having been mentioned by French authorities. They called him "Boudin, fugitif de Medit" (A N Paris, TT #259). (2) Date his will noted in "NY Calendar of Land Papers," iv (1704-1709), p. 81. (3) Date she signed a deed with 2nd Jean (Richmond Co. Deeds, Book D, p. 131-134). See also NY Wills, 6, p. 88; 7, p. 147 and NY Wills 7, p. 312. She lived past March or May, 1736/37, a date when Jean signed a deed with his wife "Hester." (4) Ronny Bodine examined the records in the registers in Rye, Sussex, England and did not find anything about John or Mary being born there. This birth date is questionable. (5) R. Bodine examined records in Rye, Sussex, England registers. Nothing found. He did not find anything about John or Mary being born there. This birth date is questionable. (6) Date will proven (NY Wills, 10, p. 159; NY Colon. Mss. Land Papers, 4, p. 84). (7) Year is just a guess based on siblings' birth years. (8) Year Book of the Holland Society of NY. 1899. Burials in the Dutch Church. Will proven - 5/10/1744. See "NYGBR," v. 121, pp. 233-234 for more info. (9) Year Book of the Holland Society of NY. 1899. Burials in the Dutch Church. (10) Biographical History of the First Congressional District of New Jersey, v. 2, pp. 283 to 287 (The Williamstown Bodines) - date. (11) Article on Judge Joseph Lamb - soon aft March 1736. Other info says abt 1757. (12) Richmond County, NY, Deeds D, p. 131 - mention made of marriage. (13) Date given in the LDS info at www.FamilySearch.com, but is probably a guess. It also says he was born in or was from Richmond County, NY. Dave's Bodine Genealogy Web Site Email me with revisions. Pictures under 100 KB (about 6x4) welcome. Home Page Click here to email me.
