Thursday, February 06, 2003 - CARLSBAD - Mary B. Wissinger, 90, of West Blodgett Street, died Tuesday, Feb. 4, 2003, at home.
A private service was held with James Ryan officiating, and interment was at Sunset Gardens Memorial Park.
Denton-Funchess Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
Mary B. Wissinger was born in Ehrenfield, Pa., on July 1, 1912, to James Carl and Eva Bell Muffley McCormick.
Mrs. Wissinger had been a resident of Carlsbad since 1955, having moved here with her family. She was a member of Bethel Baptist Church. She devoted her life to her family.
She was preceded in death by her husband, John Wissinger, in 1990; her parents, James Carl McCormick and Eva McCormick; two brothers, Col. James McCormick and W.G. McCormick; and a sister, JoAnn Cavanaugh.
Survivors include a daughter, Deloras Wissinger of Carlsbad; a brother, Harold McCormick of Fort Stockton, Texas; sisters, Edith George, Goldie Spellman and Monna Johnson of Carlsbad; and numerous nieces and nephews.
