Known as Singer Cemetery until 1895 when it officially became Oak Cemetery.
Also, know as Cover Cemetery since it is located between Cover Hill and

Singer's cemetery is now known as Oak cemetery. It's located on Singer Hill in Daisytown off Frankstown Rd. The cemetery is located on the two access roads going into Daisytown. It has an old trail coming up the back of the mountain where the horse drawn hearse would bring up the casket and the people would follow on foot. The stone gates still stand at the far end of the cemetery (see pictures). My son, brother and grandparents are buried there. Lots of very old markers, some nothing more than stones. It's said many Native Americans are buried there. It is a very wooded and serene place - Submitted by Jill Barbar-Marsh.
