9. Catherine E FORDE

Catherine Forde is recorded as living at 8 Hopewell St Paddington,Sydney, NSW. She retained her married name of WOOD.

The family oral history has George abandoning Catherine for the bar maidat one of the local Jamberoo Taverns. Apparently there were two tavernsin jamberoo at the time. The one that George (owned?) met the bar maidin burnt down. Apparently George and the bar maid had a still born child... the family claimed it as God's revenge.

Trained & raced thoroughbreds. The most famous being ATUCAS who won 15races.

From Bill Reardon (married to Joyce) - my grandfather was always calledPaddy and had a real Irish temper ... many people thought that he was mad.


14. Edward ASPINALL

Alma Aspinall thought he was born at Allyn River, Gresford, NSW1862-1863. Edward travelled to Sydney to work as a gardener for thewealthy French Joubert family. He was a gardener at Figtree HouseHunters Hill, NSW. His future wife (Jane Stevens) also worked at FigtreeHouse. Edward & Jane lived in a small sand-stone cottage in Madeline StHunters Hill. The family shifted to a farm at Cecil Park, nearLiverpool. The family moved to Liverpool & finally to Cabramatta, whereEdward worked on the railways. He died from accidental injuries receivedon the railway line at Warwick Farm.

Edward enlisted in Parramatta Lancers in 1901. His name is inscribed onthe Honour Roll @ Tumbi Umbi, NSW.


15. Jane STEVENS

Jane Stevens was employed as a house maid by the Joubert family atHunters Hill, Sydney, NSW
Jane lived in a small sandstone cottage in Madeline St Hunter's Hill.
The family shifted to a farm at Cecil Park, near Liverpool NSW, then toLiverpool, then to Cabramatta.
Jane died of pneumonia.
