who grew up in Martinsburg, married in Dixon Co. on Feb. 15, 1899 and had her first child, Earle Wright Asbury there on Dec. 21, 1899. Her next three children, beginning in Aug. of 1901, were born in Waterville, WA. Anna's younger sister, Ella Quimby (Wright) Pfaff (no. 2 above) was born in Martinsburg on Nov. 24, 1879 and their mother, Ella S. (Quimby) Wright, died there on Jan. 5, 1880 (see below). |

Dixon Co., Nebraska on Jan. 5, 1880 of typhoid pneumonia |

was made by my great-aunt Ferne (Asbury) Nelson and sent to her mother,
Anna Eliza (Wright) Asbury - Ella's oldest daughter - in 1949:
"Died of typhoid pneumonia, at the residence of P.G. Wright, Esq., in Martinsburg,
Dixon, Co., Neb., Jan. 5, 1880, Mrs. Ella Wright, wife of L.G. Wright,
aged 28 yrs. The funeral was held at the Martinsburg school house, Jan.
8th. The funeral sermon was preached by Mr. Smith, the Methodist minister
of this circuit.

Although her obituary says Ella was adopted by her uncle Hosea Low, she does not appear with him and his wife Laura A. (Stillman) Low in either the 1860 or 1870 census... |
