This mill is mentioned at the Dixon County USGenWeb site under the history of Martinsburg, taken from "Nebraska...Our Town" (scroll down to the eighth paragraph, which starts "During the 30 years that the mill operated...") This site also mentions the Martin and Lockwood families, who were in-laws of the Wrights. |

of Justice, Nebraska on May 9, 1876. Justice later became Martinsburg. Andreas' "History of the State of Nebraska," as seen here at the Dixon County USGenWeb site, states: "The post office was established in 1879, and at the time named Justice; but in 1881 it was changed to Martinsburgh. Dennis Hurley was first Postmaster." As evidenced by the document above, Lyman G. Wright was the Postmaster of Justice in 1876. Interestingly, Lyman's brother-in-law, Martin Lockwood is also mentioned in Adreas' book as the first Postmaster of the Dixon County town of South Creek in 1869... |

According to this reference, the Martin and Lockwood families, both in-law's of the Wrights, donated the land for the Martinsburg Cemetery. O.E. Martin married P.G. Wright's youngest daughter, Nettie; Martin Lockwood married Mary Wright; and William Lockwood married Delany Wright. |
