NOTE: This Richard Asbury's ancestry is not yet proven. I believe that this Richard Asbury was the son of William Asbury (1783-1820), son of Henry Asbury (1749-1813), all of Westmoreland, VA. If we could prove that this Richard Asbury's wife was "Nancy Baker Yeatman," and not just "Nancy Baker," then this ancestry would be virtually proven. All circumstantial evidence, aside from the debate about Nancy's name, points to this ancestry and Nancy's Yeatman ancestry.

   Marriage Information:

Richard married Nancy Baker Yeatman, daughter of James Yeatman and Ann Howe Weldon, on 19 Nov 1828 in Westmoreland Co., Virginia ¹⁰⁹. (Nancy Baker Yeatman was born about 1814 in Westmoreland Co., Virginia and died before 24 Feb 1853 in Iowa Co., Wisconsin.)
