George E. Pidgeon
George E. Pidgeon died last
evening at his home. No. 8 jay street aged 48 years. He leaves a wife.
Funeral from the house at 8:30 Monday morning and from St. Patrick’s
Cathedral at 9 o’clock.

FUNERAL OF GEORGE PIDGEON
Services Held in the New Chapel of the Cathedral This Morning
The funeral of
George Pidgeon was held this morning at 8:45 from his late home, No. 84 Jay
Street, and at 9 o’clock from the new Cathedral Chapel, requiem Mass being
celebrated by Rev. A. A. Hughes. The following gentlemen acted as bearers:
James Shaw, John J. Lynch, Frank
Searson, James McKeon, Charles Taylor and Fred A. McGill.
The funeral offerings were many and handsome
comprising cut flowers and beautiful designs from Mr. & Mrs. William
Pidgeon, Mr. and Mrs. E. J. Bown, Mrs. J. Leveque,
Mr. and Mrs. Frank Searson, Mrs. M. W. Lynch, Miss Mary McKeon, Mr. and Mrs. J. J. Lynch, Mrs. M. Glazier, Mrs.
Wood, Mr. and Mrs. John Heaney, H. Plu???, Mrs.
Taylor, the misses Hogan, Miss Vener, Miss Emma McGill and the ladies of Crystal
Hive, l.O.T.M.
Mr. Pidgeon was born at Cullompton, Devon County,
England in 1849. and came to this country in 1872.
Since 1879, he has lived in this city, with the exception of a year spent in England and Wales.
Besides his wife, Mrs. Margaret Pidgeon, he leaves one sister,
Mrs. Ann Cann of Oil City, PA. And one brother, William Pidgeon of this city.
