The Blondel La Rougery Family owned the Blondel Plantation on the island
of Martinique. Sebastien Blondel was knighted by the King of France
for his valiant defense of the crown during the French Revolution.
At that time the suffix "La Rougery" was given to him by the King and added
to his last name, which was, of course Blondel.
