Church of St Nicholas Kingsey This would have been the church that stood in georges time.
The exterior of the old 18th century church from the south west, showing the short west tower and gravestones in the foreground. A new church with a spire was built on this site in 1892-3.

The Eight Bells Public House with a lacemaker (Mrs Tilly) sitting outside her house in the foreground George was Publican at this public house in 1839.

George was living at No 34 High St (highlighted) in 1841 Census. Son John by 1851 was living at the Bakery shop to the left with the man standing outside.

The white house (foreground left ) that was once The New Inn sits on the junction with Burts Lane. This part of High St leads to Church Square.

This photo taken slightly later than one above indicates that the New Inn ceased to be a Public house betweeb C1890 and C1900

In 1853 George's daughter Arletta , husband Thomas Brangwin and son Thomas all died in London , Arletta was living at 1 Lavinia Terrace Starch Green at this time. George was visitor during this period as was his wife Elizabeth.
By 1871 George age 71 a jobbing gardener living on Augustus Rd Hammersmith.
By 1881 George  is just around the corner living on 53 Dalling Road , he died there in January 1881.
The map is of the 1890's Hammersmith and shows Augustus Rd and Dalling Road but not Lavinia Terrace so this must have been demolished between 1853 and 1890

George saw out his last days in the borough of Hammersmith after re-marrying in 1858

This building housed the Maternity hospital in the 1800's , its possible George's daughter Arletta was a patient here in 1853, she died later that year after giving birth.
One of Londons oldest waterside Pubs this would undoubtably been a local for George in the time lived in Hammersmith
