John Jacob and Ella on their wedding day, 17 July 1900.

Marriage Bells
Plantersville, July 18
The dear old marriage bells have rung again; over a fairer scene they never pealed forth, than on last Tuesday afternoon, July 17, 1900, at four o'clock, when the happy hearts of Miss Ella Lee Stephenson and Mr. John J. Bletsch were made to beat as one by that happy union called marriage.
The bride had never looked fairer--decked in a lovely white satin--and was supported by the handsome groom, who looked if he fully realized the value of the prize he had won.
The bride is a daughter of Mrs. Ella Stephenson, and was raised in Plantersville, and is loved by all who know her.
The groom, a prominent young business man, has lived in Plantersville for several years, and is a member of the firm of Stephenson & Bletsch. He is quite popular in social as well as in business circles.
They left immediately after the ceremony for Navasota, and will visit San Antonio, Rockport, Austin, Waco and other points before their return.
A Dear Friend
