Husband's Notes>Birth note: Dunfanaghy Presbyterian Church baptismal record
>Death note: Stahlman study
From Clarion County Historical Society, we have his Civil War records:
"62nd Pennsylvania Volunteers, Company I, Pvt John Warnick. Mustered in July 29, 1861. Mustered out with Company July 13, 1864." Stahlman said he was imprisoned in Andersonville.
John Jr. is buried in the Beechwoods Cemetery in Reynoldsville, PA and Bruce E. Warnock has photographed his headstone. We have his baptismal record from Dunfanaghy Presbyterian Church in Co. Donegal, Ireland showing his birthdate as June 21, 1841.
Wife's Notesthis an alternate descendancy from what is published in "American Guthries".
Nancy and her siblings had been placed with Joseph R 3 (James 2, John 1), but Guthrie book says he died as a young man. Census records for Clover Twp, 1850, have ages for Nancy's parents much closer to those of Joseph, son of James & Margaret McRea. Nancy's birthdate was 1844, two months before the wedding data, a year earlier than listed in Guthrie book. All the siblings birthdates matched exactly. I think someone placed their Nancy Guthrie with the wrong family, and had the wrong Joseph as husband of Elizabeth Brown, the alledged mother. [BLC, 2 Mar 1998]
