In another conversation on April 1, 2000, Georgia stated: Joseph volunteered at the World's Fair and received a certificate in that regard. This certificate is in the possession of William Forbis.17,18 He lived on 6 June 1908 in Missouri.19 He and Mabel Elizabeth Swillum obtained a marriage license on 6 June 1908 at Circuit Court, Jefferson City, Cole County, Missouri.19,20

Frank and Julius (Uncle Pat) talked in the living room of the house on Olive about things they did as kids. Julius Frank sold hides to the shoe company. This was confirmed by a conversation with Georgia Mae Ferguson on February 9, 1998. He came on business and stayed at the hotel and would come for dinner to the house on Olive. He never brought his family to visit in Jefferson City. Word was that Julius"s wife did not get along with the Frank family. This was also confirmed by Georgia Mae Ferguson. According to a phone conversataion with James Matthew Connors, Julius stayed at the Missouri Hotel.26,27,28
On February 5, 1911, the Missouri State Capitol Building was struck by lightning and almost destroyed by the resulting fire.
Under the subtitle of "Joe Frank Overcome":
Joe Frank, one of the members of the fire company collapsed while at work and was taken to the home of Louis Ott where he was attended by Dr. Aldridge. He is reported much improved and will recover."29

Swillum on 17 November 1929 at Annunciation Catholic Church, Missouri.36

Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at the Immaculate Conception Church with the Rev. Michael Quinn officiating. Burial will be in Resurrection Cemetery. Harry Seeger, 28 years old, 1824 Montgomery street, who was taken to the City Hospital May 17 with a revolver wound in the right side, died at the Hospital at 8 o'clock yesterday morning.
Seeger, who was a teamster, had been living at 1019 Wash street. Rose Winters lived at the same address. He told the police, the morning of the sooting, that he had been held up and shot by two unidentified men near Eleventh street and Farnklin (Franklin ?) avenue. He held to this story until he died, despite a confession made to the police by Rose Winters, later the same morning, that she had shot Seeger through fear that he would enter her home and beat her, as he had done on the previous day.

Harry Seeger, 28 years old, 1824 Montgomery street, who was taken to the City Hospital May 17 with a revolver wound in the right side, died at the Hospital at 8 o'clock yesterday morning.
Seeger, who was a teamster, had been living at 1019 Wash street. Rose Winters lived at the same address. He told the police, the morning of the sooting, that he had been held up and shot by two unidentified men near Eleventh street and Farnklin (Franklin ?) avenue. He held to this story until he died, despite a confession made to the police by Rose Winters, later the same morning, that she had shot Seeger through fear that he would enter her home and beat her, as he had done on the previous day.

Gleason, engineer J. O'Brien, stoker J. Scherran, driver F. Pruess, driver J. Shea, pipeman J. McLaughlin, pipeman D. Callahan, pipeman F. Connell and watchman J. Warden.14 He lived in 1916 at 2816 North 23rd Street in St. Louis, Missouri.12 He was the informant listed on the death certificate of George W. Hardesty Jr. on 31 January 1918.15,16,17 George W. Hardesty lived in 1920 at 2815 21st Street in St. Louis, Missouri.11

George was enumerated as the brother-in-law of William Seton Howell on the 1930 U.S. Census of Missouri listed as a 70-year-old male born in Missouri. His father was born in Kentucky and his mother in Pennsylvania. He was a city fireman. George and Mary were living with William and Ethel Howell, their daughterand son-in-law.18
On November 16, 1931 he was transferred to St. Louis Fire Department engine company 50 and demoted to watchman.5 George W. Hardesty retired from the St. Louis Fire Department on 16 January 1932.5 He lived from 1935 to 1936 at 4503 Red Bud Avenue in St. Louis, Missouri.19,20

George died on 30 July 1938 in Missouri at age 79, Mary Elizabeth "May" Head was the informant on the death certificate.16,22 His cause of death was uremia and chronic nephritis.3 His obituary was published in the St. Louis Post-Dispatch Newspaper on 1 August 1938.22 His obituary stated:
Hardesty, George W. - 4503 Red Bud av., Sat., July 30, 1938, 10 a. m; beloved husband of Mary Hardesty (nee Head), dear father of Mrs. Ethel Howell, Mrs. Kitty Gossrau, Mrs. Jo McMahon, Mrs. Grace Duetscher and the late George Hardesty Jr., and Mrs. Elizabeth Fisher, our dear brother, grandfather and great-grandfather. Funeral from Cullinane Bros' Funeral Parlors, 1710 N. Grand bl., Tues., Aug, 2, 2 p.m. Interment in Calvary Cemetery. Deceased was a retired member of St. Louis Fire Department
