April 29th, 1924, Mr. Behm was united in marriage to Miss Mary Catherine Otto. The late Father Coffey performed the ceremony which took place in St. Leo's, St. Louis. One child, John Henry, was born to the Behms, but died in infancy.
Mr. and Mrs. Behm at once, after their marriage located in the former Hy Otto home which the bride had purchased from the Otto heirs. Aside from occasional fishing and trapping Judge Behm gave his attention to his garden and it was with evident satisfaction he exhibited specimens of his are to friends. In disposition Judge Behm was of a quiet turn-not reticent, since he could give a hearty laugh to a good joke, but else he was not of many words. To his friend - and he had many - he was generously loyal.
Mr. Behm, born of Catholic parents, was in childhood reared in the Faith. The early days in his home community afforded only limited facilities for learning and practicing the Faith and that doubtless explains his gradual slipping from strict practice but his heart never let go of a prayer-book inherited from his dear mother. In April 1931 the Visitation had a Mission conducted by the zealous Fathers Theis and Dries, Judge Behm attended and, with his devoted wife, ended up the Mission by receiving the Sacraments. The writer feels it no exaggeration to maintain his Faith gave the sick and dying man the courage and solace that can come only from a settled and satisfied mind and heart - with folded hands, as in prayer, he expired.
The body was turned over to Undertaker W. C. Birmingham in preparation for the funeral. Because of impending Holy Week service the funeral services in the Visitation was set 4:00 p. m. Wednesday April 12th, 1933. A large attendance witnessed the occasion to testify to sympathy and sorrow. Yesterday morning the ritual Requiem High Mass was celebrated in supplement to the funeral. Besides his wife Mr. Behm leaves to mourn a sister-in-law, Mrs. Bertha Behm and about 18 nieces and nephews.
We extend sincere condolence to the sorrowing widow and relatives

J. Francis "Frank" Weber was also known as Frank J.3 J. Francis "Frank" Weber, son of Adalbert J. Weber and Theresa Niebauer, was born on 15 June 1844 in Bohemia (according to his death certificate his place of birth was Austria - Hungary or Bohemia.4,5,1
J. Francis "Frank" Weber immigrated along with Adalbert J. Weber and Theresa Niebauer in 1854 at Houses Springs, Jefferson County, Missouri.6
J. Francis was a farm hand in 1860.7
He lived with his parents, Theresa and Adalbert, in 1860 at Meramec Township in Jefferson County, Missouri.7
He was enumerated with his parent Adalbert J. Weber under the name of "Francis Weaver" on the 1860 U. S. Census for Meramec Township, Missouri. He was listed as a 16-year-old boy born in Bavaria.7
J. Francis "Frank" Weber served in the Union Army, 80th Missouri Militia as a private during the Civil War. He was in battles at Pilot Knob, Keokuk and Little Rock. In later years, while sharing his war experiences with his grandsons, Weber often spoke of the hard forced march to Pilot Knob.6
Franks' grandson recalled another story told by his grandfather. It seems the Quantrill and James' gangs sometimes met at the property on Anitre Road, now known as the Beaumont Boy Scout Reservation. According to Weber, he had met some of the men from both gangs.
Once, when Quantrill was brought in with a bullet wound, they sent for a doctor from Valley Park to look after the wounded fugitive. They say Quantrill believed he was going to die, so he gave the doctor his gun. for many years, that gun was a prized possession of the Valley Park family. I have found no evidence that Quantrill's gang operated in the St. Louis area, some skirmishes they did participate in were: John Shepherd's Home, Missouri, May 1862; Sibley, Missouri, June 22, 1862 & Oct. 6, 1862; Spencer, Kentucky, Apr. 13, 1865; David Tate's Home, Missouri, Mar, 22, 1862; Texas, Nov. 22, 1864; Capt. Thatcher, MO, June 16, 1863; Tuscumbia, Missouri, Dec. 1864; Union Mills, Missouri, 1864; Wadesburg, Missouri, July 9, 1862; Wakefield's Farm, Kentucky, May 10, 1865; Warrensburg, Missouri, Mar. 26, 1862 & Mar. 26, 1864; Westport (also called Battle of Little Blue River), Missouri, Oct. 21-22, 1864; Richard White's Home, Missouri, 1865; Wilson's Creek (or Springfield & Oak Hills), Missouri, Aug. 10, 1861; Worthville, Kentucky, 1865; Younger's Winter Camp, Missouri, Feb. 10, 1863.
The James-Younger gang did operate in the St. Louis area including the May 27, 1873 St. Genevieve, Missouri robbery of the Ste. Genevieve Savings Bank of $4,100.00 and the January 31, 1874 robbery at Gad's Hill, Missouri of the Iron Mountain Railroad with a take of $12,000.00. (http://www.islandnet.com/~the-gang/)
A recording made on Jim Younger's violin, played by him during his 1876-1901 incarceration at Stillwater Prison, was restored by Frank Younger in 1997. Evelyn Hall performs period pieces on Jim's violin, with Matt Audette performing the vocals and guitar. As well as can be determined, this is the first time the violin has been played to any extent since its time in Stillwater.6,8

Mary and J. Francis "Frank" Weber lived in 1880 at Bonhomme Township in Missouri. Residing with them were, their children Josephine, William and Charles, Mary's brother, Henry Matthiew Bëhm.10
J. is a head of household on the 1880 U. S. Census for Bonhomme Township, Missouri. He was identified as a married 36-year-old male born in Germany as were his parents. Enumerated with him were: his wife, Mary Veronica, his sons William C. and Charles Frank, his daughter Josephine J., his brother-in-law Henry Matthiew Bëhm.10
Frank J. Weber and Mary Veronica Weber purchased a home and 280 acres of land at the corner of Antire and Jim Weber Roads, Jefferson County, Missouri, in 1894 from Jeremiah Howell.6
With the help of his sons, Frank farmed the land for many years. He purchased a 12-hp Rumley tractor, which they used for wheat threshing, clover hulling, and corn shredding. by removing the front wheels of the steam-powered tractor, they were able to convert the tractor to a saw mill. The engine provided the power for sawing the lumber. (Rumley Oil Pull was designed to meet the needs of a smaller farmer and used for plowing, drilling, cultivating, harvesting, etc.) The 12-20 was the smallest model Rumely made, but it still keeps the heavy weight look. This makes them a perfect tractor for someone who doesn't have a lot of space, but wants a heavy weight tractor.6
