James G. Cozart, 71, retired school teacher, died Saturday at 5:30 p. m. at his home, 429 West Raymond. He had been in poor health for the pst three years and seriously ill since Christmas. Death was due to a heart ailment. He was born in Ledford to the late Sam and Drew Empson Cozart and was a member of the Liberty Baptist church. Surviving are his wife, Nora, and four children: Mrs. Helen Crabb, Harrisburg, Mrs. Opal Evans, Eldorado, Mrs. Kathryn Parrish, Denver, Colo., and Jimmy Cozart, Harrisburg; 10 grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren. He also leaves a sister, Mrs. Cleo Tolbert, and a brother, Ray Cozart, both of Harrisburg. The mother of his children, Mrs. Margaret Powell Cozart, passed away in 1946. Funeral services were held today at 2 p. m. in the chapel of the Harrisburg funeral home. Rev. Norman Cozart officiated and burial was in the Sunset Hill cemetery. Pallbearers were George Fowler, John Endsley, Rev. Rankins, Herbert Clark, Cecil Pankey and J. A. Dillon
