     Edward was a vaudeville performer performing under the name "Edward LaVine".^1,2
     In December, 1905, Edward was performing at The Temple Vaudeville Theatre under the name of Edward LaVine along with Lillian Waltone. They performed a skit called "The Tramp and the Prima Donna." The show featured Harry and Kate Jackson in "A Bachelor's Home." Seats were 20 cents with a few at 30 cents and daily matinees at ten cents.²
     Edward died before 1911 (not mentioned in father's obituary).³

     
     Research Note: There is some discrepancies over whether or not she emigrated to the United States with her family. She may have traveled to the U.S. in 1854 and returned to marry Johann Michael Deines in 1855.¹

She carried a white prayer book with a marker of white tea roses.⁸ The wedding reception was held at the home of the bride's parents, where a wedding breakfast was served. The rooms of the house were suitably decorated with pink and white roses.⁸
