Mrs. Kayser formerly lived in Sidell, Ill. Mr. Kayser at one time lived in Liberty Prairie.

Final rites were conducted Tuesday afternoon at 1:30 p. m. at the Marks Weber Funeral Home for J. H. Stahlhut, prominent farmer of Fort Russell township. church services followed at the Eden Evangelical Church with Rev. H. J. Bredehoeft in charge. Interment was in the Woodlawn Cemetery.

Ferd Stahlhut, who resided on the same farm where he was born in Ft. Russell township on route 159, passed away Friday at 3:45 p.m. at Alton Memorial hospital where he had been a patient for the past six days.
He was born April 2, 1899, and had attained the age of 50 years, five months and 28 days. He was the son of the late John H. and Mary Stahlhut. He was married to Miss Julia Rohrkaste of this city April 28, 1932, in Greenville who survives him.
Also surviving are one son, Paul; two daughters, the Misses Frances and Ruth at home; two brothers, Otto of Fresno, Calif., and Arnold; four sisters, Mrs. Frank Bender, Miss Louise Stahlhut and Mrs. Ernst Kayser of this vicinity and Mrs. Albert Gieseman of Terre Haute, Ind.
He was a member of Eden Evangelical church.
Friends may call at the Marks-Weber funeral home after 12 o'clock noon Sunday until Monday at 12 o'clock when the body will be taken to Eden Evangelical church to lie in state until 2 o'clock when final rites will be held with the Rev. H. J. Bredehoeft in change.
Interment will be in Woodlawn cemetery.
