     Adele died on 19 March 1940 at Christian Hospital in St. Louis, Missouri, at age 50, John H. Eyermann was the informant on the death certificate.3,10 Her cause of death was lobar pneumonia.3 Her obituary was published in the St. Louis Post-Dispatch on 19 March 1940.10 Her obituary stated:

She had been married for 21 years and had two children, both still living.8 Her husband, William H. Osterwisch, died on 27 May 1918.1,2,9
     Augusta Biermann was listed in William H. Osterwisch's obituary in May 1918 as surviving.9
     She lived with her son-in-law, John H. Eyermann and daughter, Adele, in 1920 at 4251 Carter Avenue in St. Louis, Missouri.1
     Augusta was enumerated as the mother-in-law of John H. Eyermann under the name of "Augusta Osterwisch" on the 1920 U. S. Census for Missouri. She was listed as a 50-year-old-widow born in Missouri, both of her parents were born in Germany.1 Augusta Biermann lived in 1932 at 4278 Kossuth Avenue in St. Louis, Missouri.4
     Augusta died on 15 February 1935 in Missouri at age 64.2,4 She was buried on 18 February 1935 in St. Peter's Cemetery in Normandy, St. Louis County, Missouri.4,10
