Walter Christian Ploeser
Walter Christian was hawking newspapers in 1918 at Wyoming.2

Walter married Dorothy Anette Mohrig, daughter of Henry C. Mohrig and Katherine C. (?), circa 1929 at Missouri.
Walter Christian was a special agent for an insurance company in 1930 at Missouri.6 Dorothy and Walter Christian Ploeser lived in 1930 at 5051-a Cornonado Avenue in St. Louis, Missouri.6
Walter is a head of household on the 1930 U. S. Census for ward 13, St. Louis, Missouri, listed as a 24-year-old male born in Missouri as were his parents. He was married for the first time at the age of 22 and was renting a home for $50.00 per month. He did not own a radio. Enumerated with him was his wife Dorothy Anette.6 Henry C. Mohrig and Walter Christian Ploeser were shown as neighbors on the 1930 U.S. census.7,6 He was elected a State representative to the Missouri General Assembly in 1931.2
In 1934 he founded the Young Republicans Federation of Missouri and served as its first president until 1935.2
Organized and became the chariman of the baord of Marine Undrwriters Corporation.4
From 1937 to 1938 he served as regional chairman of the Republican National Program Committee.2 He was elected to represent the 12th U.S. Congressional District of Missouri, where her served until 1949 in 1941.2 His Social Security Number was 493-05-6135, assigned before 1951, issued in Missouri.3
In 1953, he served as citizen advisor to the U.S. Senate Committee on Banking and Currency.2 He was the informant listed on the death certificate of Elize Ploeser on 17 December 1954.8 Walter Christian Ploeser was appointed U.S. Ambassador to Paraguay in 1957 by President Eisenhower. He served as ambassador until 1959 and was decorated with the Grand Cross of the Republic of Paraguay.2
In 1961, he rose to 33 degree status in the Scottish Rite. That year he also served as potentate of Moolah Shrine Temple.2
In 1964, he served as chairman of the Salvation Army Tree of Lights Campaign.2
In 1966, he served as the Republican National Committeeman for Missouri.2
In 1967, he was appointed Sovereign Grand Inspector General of the Orient of Missouri of the Scottish Rite, retiring from that position in 1988.2 He was appointed U.S. Ambassador to Costa Rica in 1970 by President Nixon, holding the position until 1972.2
He was listed 1971 in the Biographical Directory of the American Congress, 1774-1971. The Continental Congress (September 5, 1774 to October 21, 1788) and the Congress of the United States (from the first through the ninety-first Congress, March 4, 1789 to January 3, 1971, inclusive).9
During his time of political service, he received many awards including: The Navy Certificate of Merit, Honorary Doctor of Law from Norwich University, Honorary Doctorate of Honoris Causa-National University of Asuncion, Paraguary, the Wisdom Award of Honor of Wisdom Hall of Fame and the Religuious Freedom Award.2
