Visitation Thursday 3-8 p.m. at Bopp Chapel, 10610 Manchester Rd., Kirkwood. A Military Graveside Service will be held, Fri. 11:15 a.m. at National Cemetery, Jefferson Barracks, MO. Friends wishing to attend, may assemble at Bopp Chapel at 10:30 a.m. Fri, then proceed to National Cemetery. Mr. Berg was a member of 3rd Battalion of 2nd Marine Division during WWII, and a long time member of Kirkwood Lions Club. Memorial contributions may be made to The Kirkwood Lions Club

Fox was the best-man.3 Jacqueline Norma Berg was the maid of honor at the marriage of Robert James Heyer Sr. and Geraldine Joan Berg on 29 July 1950 at St. Peter Catholic Church, Missouri.9,10
     Jacqueline died on 19 March 2004 at St. Joseph's Hospital in Kirkwood, St. Louis County, Missouri, at age 76.11
     Jacqueline Norma Berg was cremated in March 2004.11 Her obituary was published in the St. Louis Post-Dispatch Newspaper on 22 March 2004.11 Her obituary stated:

Mark block, Garrett Holzum, Josh Miller, Sarah Miller, Brandon Holzum, Jesse Miller, Jordon Block, dear aunt of many including Emily Durbin-DiCroce and Rachael Block; dear sister-in-law, great-aunt, cousin, friend to many.
     May she rest in peace.
     Memorial Mass at St. Peter's Catholic Church, 243 W. Argonne, Kirkwood, MO., on Tuesday, March 23 at 10 a.m.

     Her memorial funeral service was held on 23 March 2004 at St. Peter Catholic Church, Missouri.11 She was buried in March 2004 in St. Peter Catholic Cemetery in Kirkwood, Missouri, in the Elmer Berg plot.11

     Robert married Geraldine Joan Berg, daughter of Elmer Henry Julian William Berg and Marguerite Mary Nixon, on 29 July 1950 at St. Peter Catholic Church, Missouri, the best man was William John Heyer, the maid of honor was Jacqueline Norma Berg. The marriage ceremony was performed by Father Frank N. Heyer.6,2

He lived in 1998 in Phoenix, Maricopa County, Arizona. He was employed by Plasterer; Retired at Kirkwood, St. Louis County, Missouri.
     Robert James Heyer Sr. was listed in an unknown person 's obituary in January 2006 as surviving.8
     Robert died on 31 December 2007 in Missouri at age 80.9 His obituary was published in the St. Louis Post-Dispatch Newspaper on 4 January 2008. His obituary stated:
Heyer, Robert J. 'Bob' fortified with the Sacraments of Holy Mother Church on Monday, December 31, 2007. Beloved husband of the late Gerry Heyer (nee Berg); dear son of the late Frank and Edna Heyer; dear father of Bob (Patty) Heyer, Jr., JoAnn (Bud) Beyer, Tom (Julie) Heyer, Frank Heyer, Sandy (Steve) Zolezzi, Chris Heyer, and John Heyer; dear brother of the late Fr. Frank, Marion, Bill, and Margaret; dear grandfather of Martine, Ginger (Simon), Luke, Andy, Alex, Henry, and Amanda; dear brother-in-law, uncle, cousin, and friend to many. Bob was president of the Heyer Plastering Empire. He retired to Arizona where he enjoyed playing golf, dancing, and being with friends. Bob had an exceptional sense of humor and a great love for his children and grandchildren.Services: Funeral Mass will be Monday, January 7, 10:00 a.m. at St. Peter Catholic Church in Kirkwood. Interment St. Peter Cemetery. Visitation Sunday 2-8 p.m. at BOPP Chapel, 10610 Manchester Rd. Kirkwood. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to The Golf Foundation of Missouri or the American Cancer Society.


     His wake was held on 6 January 2008 at Bopp Chapel, Kirkwood, St. Louis County, Missouri.9
     His funeral service was held on 7 January 2008 at St. Peter Catholic Church, Kirkwood, Missouri.9 He was buried on 7 January 2008 in St. Peter Catholic Cemetery in Kirkwood, St. Louis County, Missouri.9
