     Father Eugene Coyle immigrated on 21 September 1868 to New York, New York, traveling on the S.S. City of Boston from Liverpool, England.3 He was ordained on 6 March 1873 at St. John's Pro-Cathedral, St. Louis, Missouri, located at 13th Street and Chestnut.2 He was naturalized on 28 April 1883 at the Circuit Court in Cahoka, Clark County, Missouri.1 He applied for a U. S. passport on 5 May 1897 at St. Louis, Missouri, he was listed as 50 3/4-years-old, 5 feet 6 inches tall with a high forehead, gray eyes, regular nose, medium mouth, sharp chin, black and gray hair, fair complexion and an oval face.1
     He was the pastor of St. Peter Catholic Church, Kirkwood, Missouri from 1915 until 1930.2
