Ben Frank, one of the most prominent farmers of the Osage City neighborhood died at 2:40 this morning of heart failure and pneumonia complications. Mr. Frank had not been well for more than a year. Mr. Frank wa 56 years old and was born and reared and resided all his life on the farm where he died. He was a stock raiser, specializing in Poland-China hogs with which he won prized in several state exhibits. His farm was modern and up-to-date. Collie dogs and Barred Rock Chickens were also his specialties and some of the finest Collie dogs in the county came from the Frank farm.
He is mourned by his wife and six children as follows Isabella, Raphael, Gabriel, Edward, Ivo and Marcella. Three sisters, Mrs. Barbara Frank, Mrs. Dissen of this county and Sister Raphael of Appleton, Wis., live to mourn his passing.
Mr. Frank was a progressive farmer and a man of means. The funeral is in charge of the Dawson-Tanner Undertaking establishment. Services will be held at St. Francis Xavier Church at Taos Thurdsday morning at 9 o'clock. Father Huelsman will conduct the services. Burial will be in the Church cemetery there.13
