     An article in the April 20, 1877 Jefferson Democrat stated "The wheat crop - Frank Stow reports the following crop threshed by Albert Weber and sons, to the 5th inst.: Albert Weber, 258; Albert Miller, 320; Frank Stow, 436; Philip Boly, 288; John Stouse, 518; and Jacob Bohn, 454 bushels.⁸

     He left a will signed 8 November 1913 at St. Louis, Missouri, in which beneficiaries were Barbara Weber, George Weber was not mentioned, others mentioned were John K. Weber, Ferdinand F. Weber, Albert Raymond Weber, Mary Guibor, Annie Tureczek, Joseph Weber, Louis J. Weber, Emma E. Brackmann, William Charles Weber and Henry Ferdinand Weber.¹⁴ His will stated "I, Ferdinand Weber, Sr., of the County of Jefferson and State of Missouri, being of sound mind, memory and understanding, and realizing the uncertainty of life, do make, publish and declare the following as and for my last will and testament, hereby revoking any will that I may have at any time heretofore made.
FIRST. I direct that all my legal and just debts, funeral and testamentary expenses be paid out of my estate as soon as possible after my death.
SECOND. I give and bequeath unto my beloved wife, Barbara Weber, all my household effects of which I may be possessed at the time of my death, together with the horse and buggy which I own at the time of my death. My wife shall also receive the net sum of Four Hundred Dollars ($400.00) annually as income from my real estate, for the term of her natural life.
THIRD. I give and bequeath to my said wife, Barbara Weber, in trust for my children, all cash money on hand or on deposit in bank, or loaned out on notes in any shape or form, of which I may die possessed.
     If, however, the said income from the real estate mentioned above is insufficient for my wife's proper support and maintenance she shall have the right and power to draw such additional sum from the money in her trust as shall make her life comfortable.
FOURTH. After the death of my said wife, the net and residue of all my estate, real and personal, shall be distributed between my ten (10) children, namely: John J. Weber, Ferdinand Weber, Jr., Albert Weber, Mary Guibor (nee Weber), Anna Tureczek (nee Weber), Joseph Weber, Louis Weber, Emma Brackmann (nee Weber), William Weber, and Henry Weber, in equal shares. And as I have advanced my first three named children, namely, John J. Weber, Ferdinand Weber, Jr., and Albert Weber, the sum of One Thousand Dollars ($1000.00) each, I hereby direct my executors hereinafter named to deduct said amounts (together with interest at the rate of five per cent per annum from the year 1895) from their respective shares at the time of distribution, - in order to equalize their shares with the others.
FIFTH. And lastly, I nominate and appoint my two sons, William Weber and Henry Weber, executors of this my will, and it is my desire that they be allowed to qualify and set as such without giving bond.

     Ferdinand died on 27 November 1913 in Missouri at age 72.^15,14,2 His cause of death was broncho pneumonia, nephritis and arterio sclerosis.²
     The undertaker who handled his arrangements was O. Brackmann in High Ridge, Jefferson County, Missouri.² He was buried on 30 November 1913 in St. Philomena Cemetery in located in House Springs, Jefferson County, Missouri.^15,2
     William Charles Weber and Henry Ferdinand Weber were appointed executors of the estate of Ferdinand Weber on 6 December 1913.¹⁴ After the probate of his estate was filed, an inventory was taken on 13 December 1913.      Joseph married Theresa Kadlitz, daughter of Wenzil Kadlitz and Anna Chott, on 22 November 1887 at Missouri.³
     Joseph is a head of household on the 1900 U. S. Census for Meramec East Township, Jefferson County, Missouri. He was identified as a 33-year-old married male born in Missouri. Both of his parents were born in Bohemia. He had been married for twelve years and rented a farm listed on farm schedule 90. He could read, write and speak English.      Theresa was enumerated with her parent Adalbert J. Weber under the name of "Theresa Weaver" on the 1860 U. S. Census for Meramec Township, Missouri. She was listed as a 14-year-old girl born in Bavaria.²

     Frederick Bohm, son of Johann Heinrich Frederick Bohm and Katharina Maria Dorothea "Mary" Braun, was born on 25 January 1816 in Hannover, Region Hannover, Niedersachsen, Germany.¹
     Frederick Bohm immigrated in 1838 to New Orleans, Orleans Parish, Louisiana, traveling arrived in the winter after a voyage of nine weeks and three days. This was followed by an eight week trip up the Mississippi River to St. Louis where he settled..¹
     Upon his arrival in St. Louis, he initially was employed by a wealthy famer, Michael McManaway for $6 per month. In spite of the fact that Michale proved to be extremely kind to him and used every means to educate him in the ways of the new world, the work was not to his likeing, and he obtained employment in the government arsenal under Major W. H. Bell.²
     Frederick Bohm worked first as a farmer then in various other occupations from 1839 to 1849 at St. Louis, Missouri.¹
     Frederick married Sophia Dorothea Maria Blume, daughter of Heinrich Blume and Sophia "Susan" Stunkel, on 7 February 1847 at Pleasant Ridge, Madison County, Illinois.^3,1,4,5
     Frederick was as a carriage maker under Maj. William H. Bell. During his 17 years employment he twice enlisted for five years as a soldier and received an honorable discharge in 1850 at government arsenal, St. Louis, Missouri.¹
     Upon his retirement from the arsenal in 1857, he moved to the farm in Pleasant Ridge that he had bought for his parents both of whom had died. Because his parents owned a nice home in Germany which he didn't want to induce them to leave without one as good or better here, he refrained from writing very encouraging letters to the old folks however they learned of his success here from other sources and followed him here. Under the circumstances Frederick made the best provision possible for them, obtaining employment for his brothers and purchasing the farm at Pleasant Ridge for the maintenance of his parents and sisters. He stayed on the farm for 12 years.^1,2 He declared his intention to become a citizen of the United States listed in book 6, page 423 in 1857 at Circuit Clerk, Edwardsville, Madison County, Illinois.⁶ He was naturalized in October 1860 at the Circuit Clerk in Illinois.      Frederick Bohm during the Civil War he was one of the organizers of the Union League, serving as its president for the three years of its existence in 1865 at Illinois.¹
     Frederick appeared on the 1865 Illinois state census in Collinsville Township, Madison County he was listed on page 200, line 23.⁷
     Frederick Bohm moved from Pleasant Ridge to the farm on which he spent the remained of his life in 1869.¹

Enumerated with him were: his wife, Sophia Dorothea Maria, his son William Henry, his daughter Sophia M.⁸
     He owned 193.5 acres in sections 2 and 10, township 3, range 8, Collinsville; 1306.25 acres in sections 8 and 9, township 4, range 8, Edwardsville; and 100 acres in sections 32 and 33, township 5, range 8, Ft. Russell.⁹
     In December 1896, an article in the Edwardsville Intelligencer newspaper stated "Frederick Bohm, a prominent farmer west of the city, has invested in city property and will become a resident of the city. He purchased from Terry & Cole two lots on St. Louis street, west of M. B. Sherman's property. The lots have a frontage of 100 feet and are 160 feet deep. The consideration was $1000 which is considered low. A concession was made in view of the fact that the purchaser will at once erect a handsome residence. Plans are being made for an eight-room house, with modern conveniences, and construction will be commenced at once if weather permits.¹⁰
     Frederick died in 1906 in Madison County, Illinois.¹ He was buried in 1906 in Woodlawn Cemetery in Madison County, Illinois.¹¹
     On June 1, 1935, the Bohm School District announced plans to build a new school to replace the one that had been in use for more than 60 years. The building originally stood at the intersection of Poag and Bohm roads but had been moved years earlier. The original land was acquired from Fredrick and Sohpia Bohm under a deed dated June 18, 1871 and the buiding was build soon after.. The building and burnace were sold at auction in May 1936 and torn down. A. C. Bohm, an attorney for the district conducted the sale. He was a grandson of Frederick and Sophis.^12,13

     William married Emma H. C. Smith, daughter of Christian P. Smith and Frances (?), on 5 February 1885 at Immanuel Methodist Church, Illinois. The marriage ceremony was performed by Reverend William Wilkening.²
     He owned 75 acres in section 4, township 4, range 8, Edwardsville.⁶
     William Henry Bohm sold property described aspart south 1/2 of northwest 1/4 of section 10, township 3, range 8, except for coal for $5,929.00 at Madison County, Illinois, in March 1908 to Christ Horstmann.⁷
     William Henry Bohm purchased the property at the corner of Main and Vandalia strees, upon which he erected the Bohm building at Edwardsville, Madison County, Illinois, in 1909.³
     In 1915 he was the owner of over a thousand acres of land which was used for diversified farming. Fattening cattle for market was one of his specialties and he also raised mules.He had served on the school board for a number of years and was currently serving his second term as a member of the county board. At the township election held on April 7, 1914 he was elected Supervisor.³

He was married for the first time at the age of 30, owned a farm listed on farm schedule 62 and a radio, could read and write and was not a veteran. Enumerated with him were: his wife, Emma H. C., his son Clarence, his daughters Dora and Frances.⁹
     He was a member of the Board of Supervisors for a number of years and Supervisor of Edwardsville township for over twenty years.. He was identified as devout in his daily life and kept up the family altar.
His obituary ended with:

He served as Chairman of the Building Committe when the present Madison County Court house was erected.^2,10

               
     William died on 22 September 1943 at Park Lane Memorial Hospital in St. Louis, Missouri, at age 85 a 5:30 in the morning after a seven-day stay in the hospital.^2,4 His obituary was published in the Edwardsville Intelligencer Newspaper on 23 September 1943.⁴ His obituary stated:

     Louis Frederick was a preacher and one of the organizers of a church that at first was a log hut near Peters Station, when the congreagation became larger and more progressive a new church, called the Brockmeier church, was erected on land donated by Henry Brockmeier. Reverend Louis Bohm was pastor of this church for many years.⁴ Reverend Louis Frederick Bohm was also known as Louis H.³ Reverend Louis Frederick Bohm, son of Frederick Bohm and Sophia Dorothea Maria Blume, was born circa 1850 in St. Louis, Missouri.³
     Louis married Sophia Maria Katharina Dannenberg, daughter of Johann Heinrich Friedrich Dannenberg and Maria Sophia Theike, on 24 December 1857 at Madison County, Illinois.^5,6
     Reverend Louis Frederick Bohm received a degree from McKendree College, Lebanon, St. Clair County, Illinois, in 1870, majoring in He was valedictorian of his class.^1,2
     After graduation from McKendree College he taught in Progress School and was slated for a principalship in Edwards when he died at the age of 23.²
