She had been married first at the age of 22.13 Emma Amelia Berg attended the funeral of Judge John Philip Bëhm on 12 April 1933 at Visitation Catholic Cemetery, Vienna, Maries County, Missouri.14 Her husband, Joseph Francis Berg, died on 16 January 1937 at age 63; of pneumonia, attended by Doctor Werth of Kirkwood.15,16
     Emma Amelia Laumand was a beneficiary of the estate of Joseph Francis Berg on 16 January 1937.17 Emma Amelia Laumand lived in 1938 at 147 West Jefferson Avenue in Kirkwood, St. Louis County, Missouri.18 She lived in 1953 at 220 Way Avenue in Kirkwood, St. Louis County, Missouri.19

     Hattie (her first marriage)married David Carl Berg (his second marriage) , son of Francis Charles "Frank" Berg and Barbara Josephine Bëhm, in 1929 at St. Louis County, Missouri.2,3
     Hattie was enumerated as the wife of David Carl Berg under the name of "Hattie Berg" on the 1930 U.S. Census of Kirkwood, St. Louis County, Missouri, listed as a married 39-year-old female born in Illinois as were both of her parents. She was 38-years-old at the time of her first marriage.3
     Hattie and David Carl Berg lived in 1930 at 127 East Jefferson Avenue in Kirkwood, St. Louis County, Missouri. Residing with them was their child, Josephine.4,3 Hattie Emily Simons was also known as Hattie E.. She attended the funeral of Judge John Philip Bëhm on 12 April 1933 at Visitation Catholic Cemetery, Vienna, Maries County, Missouri.5 Hattie and David Carl Berg lived before 1934 at 123a West Madison Avenue in Kirkwood, St. Louis County, Missouri.6 Hattie and David Carl Berg lived in 1938 at 127 East Jefferson Avenue in Missouri.2
     Hattie Emily was a factory worker at Mitchell Optical Company in 1946.7 She lived from 1946 to 1964 at 106 West Monroe Avenue in Kirkwood, St. Louis County, Missouri.7,8
     She left a will signed 9 September 1959 at Missouri in which beneficiaries were Josephine Margaret Berg.
I Hattie S. Berg, widow of David C. Berg, residing in County of St. Louis, State of Missouri, being of sound mind and memory, do make, publish and declare this to be my last Will and Testament hereby revoking and canceling all Wills & Codicils by me heretofore made.
Item 1. I direct that all my just debts, including the expenses of my last illness and funeral, and the cost of erecting an appropriate marker at my grave, shall be paid as soon after my decease as may be found convenient.
Item 2. All the rest, residue and remainder of my estate, real personal and mixed of whatever nature, as wheresoever situate, what I may own or have the right to dispose of, I give and bequeath to my daughter Josephine B. Ulz; but if said daughter shall die during my lifetime, then my said estate shall go to her descendants, they taking per setirpes. In the event my said daughter and her descendants are then dead, my said estate shall go to the persons as they may be determined by the laws of the state of my domicile at the time of my death.
Item 3. I hereby nominate, constitute and appoint my Daughter, Josephine B. Ulz, or my sister Sara Snow or Paul Y. Versen, or Richard M. Stout in the order named, Executor of this will. (Sara Snow served as Josephine was resident of Alton IL)

Tract 1 part of Block 37, Town of Kirkwood, more particularly described as follows to wit: Beginning at a point in the South line of Monroe Avenue, distant 150.83 feet West of the West line of Kirkwood Road then South parallel with West line of Kirkwood Road 100 feet to the North line of property conveyed to Henry J Fritch & wife by deed recorded in Book 645 page 64 thence West along north line of Fritsch property 12.17 feet more or less to the Northwest corner thereof, thence South along the West line of Fritsch property 29 feet to the North line of property conveyed to Brocke E. Dorris by deed recorded in book 306 page 358 thence North along East line of property conveyed to Bridges, 129 feet to the South line of Monroe Avenue thence East along the south line of Monroe Avenue 47 feet to the place of beginning. Together with improvements thereon known as 106 West Monroe Avenue, Kirkwood, MO 63122, consisting of 4 family brick flat. Value $25,000.
Resolution: Property and $191.83 to Josephine Ulz.8
     Hattie died on 17 May 1964 in Missouri at age 73.9,10 She was buried on 19 May 1964 in Marissa Cemetery in Marissa, St. Clair County, Illinois.9

     Josephine married William Conrad Ulz, son of Konrad Ulz Jr. and (?) Young, on 12 July 1952 at Kirkwood Baptist Church, Kirkwood, St. Louis County, Missouri.2 Josephine Margaret Berg was named a beneficiary in the will of Hattie Emily Simons on 9 September 1959.6 Josephine Margaret Berg lived in 1964 at 2910 Hillcrest in Alton, Madison County, Illinois.6
     Josephine died in May 1980 at 3743 Claremont in Sullivan, Cheshire County, New Hampshire, at age 50.7
