Family of Ferdinand Blauss and Eliza Price

Ferdinand Blauss (Israel) was born MAR 1833 in New York City, New York, the son of Israel Blauss and Catherine Beck. He died 11 JUL 1903 at Bellevue Hospital in Manhattan, New York, at the age of 70¹.  He was buried at Evergreen Cemetery, Brooklyn, New York.

He married Eliza Price abt 1855  in New York City, New York.  She was born abt 1838 in New York or Ireland. She died between 1880-1900 in New York.

1889: The position of "Inspector of Meters, now held by Ferdinand Blauss; salary of $3 per day" was abolished by Thomas F. Gilroy, the Commissioner of Public Works in Manhattan2.
1900 Residence: New York City, living with son Alonzo’s family

Ferdinand was a mechanist and engineer, and filed numerous patents with the government.
