[Son of George Blanton and Martha Shepherd]
Be it remembered that on this 2nd day of May, 1905, I, James H. Blanton, being weak in body but strong in mind, made this my last will and testament:
I will my sole to God who gave it. I will all the following real estate to my daughters Martha Jane McKenzie, Lydia McKenzie and Anna McCarty beginning at the mouth of the Glade Branch, thence up to same to the mouth of the Fur Gutt thence up the same to the road on top of the cliff to the old line between the Elias Davis farm and myself; and with the said line up the branch to the top of the hill next to the John Colvin line; thence southeast course with said line to a black oak corner on the bank of Colvin Branch; thence with the same on top of the cliff next to the branch to the mouth of Colvin Branch to Paint Creek; and with said corner and up the same to the beginning. I will the same to them to have equal shares in the same.
I will to my son, James M. Blanton all the following real estate: - Beginning on Bill and Ben Blantons corner; and with Bill Blantons line and with the same Northwest course to the road; and with the road to the gap to James McCartys line; and with the same to the mouth of the Glads Hollow to Farish Colvins line; and with the same north course up the hill to the top; then with the ridge to Ben Blantons line; and with the same to the beginning
I will to my son, George W. Blanton, all the following real estate, to wit: - Beginning on Bill Blantons corner at the foot of the hill opposite the Turney pack Bank; and with his line up the hill to the top; and with the top of the ridge to the Taylor Simons line to the low gap in the ridge at the head of Punchion Branch; thence southwest down the branch with its meadows to the fences; thence down the main branch to the next forks; then up the branch with its meadows of the same to the top of the ridge to James McCartys line; and with the same southeast course to the road in the gap, and with the road and James M. Blantons line to the beginning; so as to include all the lands in side of said boundary.
I will to my son S.L. Blanton and my daughter Mary Gullett, the following real estate, beginning at the head of the Puncheon Branch G.W. Blanton corner and line; and with his line southwest down the hill to the branch; and still with the same to the top of the ridge to the line of James McCarty, thence running north course with the top of the ridge around the heads of the branches to the beginning said Mary Gulletts line begins at the beginning corner of this tract; and down the hill to the fences of the branch; thence up the hill and fork parrish to the top of the hill and with the top of the hill to the beginning. Mary Gullett is to have the price, and S.L. Blanton, the extra price. I make this conditional line myself.
I will all the following real estate to my sons, Elias Blanton and Jno (John Elliott) Blanton and J.H. Blanton. Elias Blanton to have the old survey of fifty acres and J.E. Blanton and J.H. Blanton to have the Cox farm equal between. I also will all the cattle and hogs to my son Ben Blanton. I also will my mare to my daughter Martha Jane McKenzie at my death, if said mare is yet on the farm.
As I have hencetofore helped some of my children and others none, - I think I have treated them all right.
Believing that I have done all my children right and just I beg and pray for them to be satisfied and content, and I ask and beg and pray you, children, to do right, and remember me and your good mother.
With this I bid you good-bye til we meet again.

The foregoing will of James H. Blanton was presented for probate at the October term at the Johnson County Court, and the executrix thereof duly ____ by the oath of B.L. Davis one of the attesting witnesses hereto, who testified to the attestation of the other attesting witnesses, Ben Blanton and W.R. Blanton; whereupon said will was probated and ordered to records. And the same has been this day duly recorded.
