LAST WILL & TESTAMENT OF
BURWELL BLANTON
State of North Carolina I Burwell Blanton of the County & State aforesaid, being of sound & disposing mind, do make & declare this to be my last Will & Testament. First. It is my will & desire that after paying my ordinary funeral expenses my executors hereinafter named shall pay all my just debts. Second I will & bequeath to my youngest son Burwell Wiley, all my landed estate, consisting of the tract of land upon which I now live, on the waters of Beaver Dam Creek, containing by estimation Three Hundred & Eleven Acres. I also will & bequeath to the said Burwell Wiley Two negroes, to wit: John Criswell & Mary Jane. I also will & bequeath to the said Burwell Wiley all my horses [?] & my __________. Third I will & bequeath to my beloved wife: Mary, one Negro Girl named Ester Roxanah, together with all my household & _____ furniture, to have the use of during her natural life & at her death all the said property to be sold & the proceeds thereof to be equally divided between all my heirs. Fourth I will & bequeath that all the rest of my property not herein named to be equally divided between all my heirs respectively. And it is my will & desire that the portion of property which may fall to my daughter Nancy Padgett shall be held in Trust by my executors for her separate use & the separate use of her children by her first husband Joseph Byars. It is also my will & desire that the portion of property which may fall to the children of my son James Blanton Deceased shall likewise be held in Trust by my executors, for the separate use of his widow Rebecca Blanton & the children of the said Rebecca & Joseph. Fifth I do hereby appoint as my executors G. B. Byars & Dr. W. R.
