of Guardianship appointing Giles Dyer and
Samuel Pearch to be guardians unto
John & Noah Blantine
WILLIAM
STOUGHTON Esq. duly appointed & commissioned to be Judge of the Probate
of Wills and for granting Letters of Administration on the Estates of persons
deceased having Goods, Chattels, Rights or Credits in the County of Suffolk
within his Matys Province of said Massachusetts Bay in New England. To
Giles Dyer Merchant and Samuel Pearce Cooper both of Boston in the County
aforesaid. Greeting. Trusting in your care and fidelity I do by these presents,
pursuant to the powers & authority to me granted in and by an act of
the General Assembly of the Province above nominate & appoint you to
be the Guardians unto John Blantine and Noah Blantine Sons of William Blantine
sometime of Boston aforesaid late of Rehoboth in the County of Bristol housewright
decsd, (the said John and Noah Blantine being Minors under the age of fourteen
years.) With full power & authority to ask, demand, sue for, recover
and receive into your possession & custody. All singular such Estate
lying or being the the County of Suffolk aforesaid as was left unto the
said minors by their aforenamed Father or which by any other ways or means
whatsoever doth of right belong and accrue unto them or either of them,
and to manage, imploy and improve the same for their good education benefit
and advantage. And to render a plain & true accompt of your said Guardianship
upon Oath so far as the Law will charge you therewith when you shall be
thereunto lawfully required and to pay and deliver what was so much of the
said Estate as shall appear to be remaining upon your accompt (the same
being first examined and allowed of by the Judge or Judges for the time
being of the Probate of Will & within the County of Suffolk aforesiad)
unto these Minors when they shall respectively arrive at full age or otherwise
as the said Judge or Judges by his or their ?????? ?????? pursuant to Law
shall limit and appoint IN TESTIMONY whereof I have hereunto set my hand
and the Seal of the Court of Probate for the County of Suffolk aforesaid.
Dated at Boston aforesaid the Twenty fifth Day of February anno Domini 1700.
