He was a Master Blacksmith living and working at Manchester Road, Heaton Norris, Stockport (this being Lancashire in the first half of the century and Cheshire in the latter half). Two of Isaac's sons became blacksmiths, and one became a wheelwright. Isaac died in 1872, but his wife and sons were still running the business in 1891.
