Welcome to Concetta’s Genealogy Homepage!

If you would like to return to home, you may do that here.

NEWSFLASH: If you haven't already noticed, the site has been moved from Yahoo! Geocities to Rootsweb Freepages. See the note at the bottom of the page if you prefer to hear the bloody details.

NEWSFLASH 2: Oh my God, I thought everything was lost...I really did. Kudos to: Google Caching, the Internet Wayback Machine, and my brain for attempting to back up files to CD at some point - I'm almost back up! The Daniel Graves file, my pride and joy, has been restored to its research point of November 2005 - thank God I didn't have to start from scratch! The formatting sucks, but hey, not having to replace ALL of that data is a godsend. Most of the files are in a similar position.

So my next projects are: the site will be converted from crappy Geocities style to a much cooler Freepages one. Stay tuned! Some of the families are temporarily offline until I can get all of the backup pages coded. I'm also working on some new ones, like Robert Perry of West Virginia, and the Franco family.

NEWSFLASH 3: Okay, so some stuff was really lost. I'm working to get that back up and going. I've re-added Hazelton Graves and Hesikiah Graves, and have the Bradforthes, the Blodgetts and the Tunisons on the way.

I've also got some new data to add and corrections to make - so if you've contacted me in the past few months, I apologize, the corrections are on their way!

Living descendants will be deleted as requested.

Also, if you see something that should be credited to you and isn’t

PLEASE NOTIFY ME ASAP! I work very hard to make sure as many sources as possible are credited.

Sourcing is done several different ways, but I'm trying to get all of them consolidated into endnotes.

*Since Geocities/Yahoo abruptly decided to cut off my email, web page and any other Yahoo service I used, I have consolidated all of my material with other providers. DON'T USE YAHOO OR YOU RISK LOSING YOUR MATERIALS AT THEIR WHIM. The answer that I got to my query of why I lost my account was that I violated their terms of service by 1. putting improper material on my website (which was untrue) and 2. that I sent over 160,000 emails in one day from my email account (also untrue, I believe I was spoofed). Yahoo has no form of recourse for anyone to defend themselves, so my account was deleted, all of my info lost with no ability to retrieve it.

What upset me the most was the fact that I had no warning about this. I had no recourse. One minute, I was logged in and everything was fine, and the next, I had nothing. I think at least a one hour warning would be honorable, twenty four hours being the best possible service to their customers, free or not.

I liked Yahoo, I really did. But I, my company, and my main company have moved our business to Google, to the tune of $150,000/year. Let that be a lesson to Yahoo and MSN. Don't censor your customers without an avenue for them to dispute your findings. Do they think spammers would dispute? Please. They'd just start another company because it would be much quicker. Plus, they've started censoring customers on the advice of the government. Not that I'm some sort of radical, but that's wrong. The Internet should be the land of free speech, not another avenue of oppression for people in other countries.

Since I wasn't obviously expecting to have my account deleted, I lost a lot of stuff. Thanks goes to the Internet Archive and their Wayback Machine for helping me find at least some of the material, and Google's caching system, which helped me find some more. The rest of the descendancies really weren't important - just fun little side research detours, so I've deleted them off the front page.

DON'T USE YAHOO. JOIN GOOGLE, ROOTSWEB, ANGELFIRE AND OTHERS TO FIND YAHOO, MSN AND THE OTHER "WHIM" BEHEMOTHS.
