Christina Huber
March 5, 1876-December 13, 1939
Word was received here last week
of the passing of Mrs. Christina Huber, former Walworth county pioneer,
at Glendive, Mont., on Monday, December 13. Funeral services were held
at Fallon, Montana Sunday.
Mrs. Christina Huber was born March
5, 1876 in Glueckstahl, South Russia. Her parents were Christian and Anna
Marie Roesler. In 1897 she was married to Christian Huber in Glueckstahl,
South Russia.
In 1905, she came with her husband
and family to Selby, South Dakota where they resided for a number of years.
Later they moved to Eureka where they lived for about two years and then
they moved to Lowry where they resided until 1926. From there they moved
to Fallon, Mont., where they have since resided. At the time of her passing
she had reached the age of 63 years, 9 months and ten days.
She is mourned by her husband, Christian
Huber; ten children: Mrs. Gottfried Pressler, Fort Peck, Mont.,; Mrs. Adolph
C. Horst, Java, S.D.; Christ Huber Jr., Selby; Mrs. Jacob Fritz, Isabel;
August, Jacob, Ludwig, Fred, John and Helen, who are still at home; four
brothers, Wm. Roesler, Lowry; Christian Roesler, Fallon, Mont.; Ludwig
of Marsh, Mont.; and Jacob of Akaska; four sisters, Mrs. Fred Haumen, Meadow;
Mrs. John Kesler, Marsh, Mont.; Mrs. Jacob G. Schilling, Akaska; and Mrs.
Reinhardt Baker of Eugene, Ore., and 17 grandchildren.
