Brother-in-law, Thomas Sorrell was named in the 1719 will. Thomas was a son-in-law of Daniel Ocanny. Gerrard Hutt, a step-brother, received land in Nominy in the 1719 will. A Thomas Crabb b. after the 1719 will, sold land in Westmoreland Co., Va., in 1745. The 1738 will of Daniel Crabb mentions no wife or children but does refer to brothers, Thomas, John, and Osmond (and Osmond's son Gerrard); sister, Lettice; and mother, Sarah Dunbar.
The 1740 rent roll for Cople Parish, Westmoreland Co., Va., listed Daniel Crab's executors, 227A, John Crab 154A, and Osborn Crab 154A. Allied families on the same rent roll were Robert Middleton 450A, Robert Middleton 325A, Benedict Middleton 150A, Thomas Middleton 106A, Benj. Middleton 200A, Gerrard Hutt 600A, John Garner 100A, John Garner 100A, Joseph Garner 200A, Archibald Garner 100A, Marche Garner 150A, Wm. Rust 300a, Peter Rust 150a, and John Sorrell 832A (Eaton p10).
Osmond was a Lt. In the county militia.
An Osmun Crabb in 1719 of Westmoreland co. left a parcel of old books (Va. Hist. Mag.).
The will of Daniel Ocanny, planter, d. 1/30/1716 will pro. Westmoreland co., Va., mentioned gr. sons Daniel Crabb, John Crabb, son-in-law Thomas Sorrel, with ex. – gr. son Daniel Crabb who was to inherit land if John Crabb died without issue.
The will of Gerrard McKenney d. 11/30/1784 will pro. Westmoreland Co., Va., mentioned children – Lettice Porter, Gerrard, Diana, Daty, Sarah, and Armstrong McKenney.
A Daniel Crabb was in Westmoreland, King George Co., Va., in 1740. A Daniel Crabb m. 1789 Francis Burgess Smith.

Hopes this helps you. You can understand how the Haden and Whitsett names were used so much and when you go back farther you will understand how Churchill got in there. The good thing about tracing the Blakey family is that there were very few divorces--they usually remarried after the spouse had passed away. What makes it difficult to trace the Blakey family is that they all called their children by the same names. Even when there are several children say James for instance--several of the children will name their own children James. They are a lot of Thomas Blakey's throughout the line.
