A Special Tribute
To Anita
We were not fortunate enough
to have seen your face,
Yet we knew instinctively
that you were full of grace.
No words of greeting
did we every speak,
No where on a bus
did we ever share a seat.
There were no birthdays
we shared together,
Nor sunny days or
stormy weather.
Yet, I knew you, Miz
Anita, whom I called 'Friend',
We shared a friendship
that does not end.
We all will miss you,
now you time has come to go,
But we know you are
with us in a special glow.
You were one of the
best friends I never knew,
And, in leaving, you
left us all sad and blue.
We realize now you
can breathe deep and soar,
Pain free and laughing,
troubled no more.
We shall stand together,
remembering your life,
You were a good mother,
friend and wife.
So, watch by the gate,
we'll be round the bend,
We'll then know peace
and joy that has no end.
Now, rest easy, my
dear friend,
You won life's battle
in a sure win.
